If you were purchasing a 2018 MacBook Pro and wanted Logos 7(8) to run blazing fast what would be your system recommendations? I’m considering 15-inch, 2.2GHz 6-core 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, Radeon Pro 555X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, 1TB SSD, and 32gb ram.

That would just about do it! The SSD is the key to "blazing fast". You could get a faster quad-core i7 with hyper-threading (8 threads)  as Logos only allocates 4 threads to resources when indexing. 16 GB RAM would be adequate.

I agree. The processor and the SSD are the two biggies. The disappointing thing about new Mac laptops is that the memory is soldered, making it impossible to manually upgrade. You have to buy it from them up front or not at all. If I'm not mistaken, the drive is also soldered.
