What is an API??

In the simplest terms you could think of it as a translator that allows multiple applications to talk to each other, in other words a set of rules that tell other applications how to format requests, etc.

This is a great time to place a bid: you could get a $560 dollar course for a hundred bucks!

One of the things I love most about Old Testament theology is how it opens up our understanding of New Testament theology.

Who will be the new bidder who helps us reach 100% funding at $100? If you haven't bid yet, it could be you!

If you have bid, please tweet about it or email your friends to let them know. Once community pricing closes, this opportunity to get OT300 at 82% off will be gone!

Minimum bid is now $ 70 with $ 90 having similar progress as $ 150 (so lowering bids from $ 100 has risk of raising projected price back to $ 150)

To close at $ 90 instead of $ 100 needs 11.2 % more bids. If every Logos and Verbum placed a bid, then closing amount becomes $ 10 or less.

Exciting times!!! (I'm following your lead and bidding $90.)

If more existing bidders could shift their bid from $150 (or higher) to $100, that would certainly lessen the chance of the price jumping back up from $100 to $150.

In the meantime, I hope the new lower bid prices will generate a lot more interest in this course! Thanks, FL, for lowering the minimum!

Staying at $100 need to stabilize this bid. Need new bidders at $90 and those at $150 to lower their bids to $90 or $100.

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Beloved:

I would propose an alternative!  There is an advantage to having a healthy price line at higher prices than the strike price.  It shows people who arrive at the bidding page that a number of people believed that the product is worth far more than the current strike price.

If all the people who bid more than $100 were to drop their bid tonight to precisely $100, then the marketing story would be that this resource was "worth" $100, but not a dollar more.  BTW: Reducing all the higher bids would not effect the $100 price.  It would still be just a little bit below the line.

I agree that you really don't want the strike price to be $150 and you really don't want to do things which might cause $150 to become the "probable" price.  Therefore, I suggest that a large number of people who have voted at, or above, $150 could reduce their bid to $140.  This would make it less likely that $150 will become the "probable" sale price, but it will also preserve the nice shape of the bidding curve and assure people that the value far exceeds $100.

I think is backfiring.  $100 is losing steam and $90 is not getting any closer.  Ramp up $100 and the higher it goes the quicker $90 will go up too.  As it is, $100 had not even crossed the line, so lowering bids to $90 isn’t really helping. Just my observation.

Yea, it a bit like playing the stock market lol - I have dropped my bid to $100 to stop a bounce back to $150 as well

Well, there are two strategies, DAL.

If the goal is to get it to cross the line at any price, sooner rather than later, then lowering bids to $90 isn't helping.

If the goal is to lower the price further before it crosses the line, then it's working perfectly.

For some reason, the last week is perceived as the time when you "get" the price to drop, but that's when time is working against you. The best time to drop the price is before it crosses the line.

DAL:
Ramp up $100 and the higher it goes the quicker $90 will go up too.

If it crosses at $100, we're probably not going to be able to lower the price any further in the final week.

Is $100 a good price? Sure. But if it closes at $100, it stays out of range for other people who won't pay $100 for the course.

I'd rather be patient and wait a little longer for a great course like this (to make it more affordable to more people), than get it sooner and have others miss out.

$100 bucks is a steal. $10 bucks won’t make a difference. People will have time to save those $10 or $20 bucks difference. I’d say let’s drive it in at $100! 👍😁👌
