There are no Logos logs, so enable logging in the Logging Utility before you start Logos.

After downloading logos did you drag the logos icon into the Application folder, and start it from there?

Console messages shows /private/var in Logos application path. Crash can be replicated by:

  • Download disk image (dmg)
  • Open dmg
  • Open Logos (in dmg) => Crash

Solution is dragging Logos (or Verbum) from dmg to a folder: e.g. Applications => https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/mac/install

Technical note: searching console messages for Logos shows /private/var in application path, which cannot be used by Logos Indexer since temporary mount of dmg in /private/var is not likely to exist in the future.

FYI: Logos 7 install => https://www.logos.com/install includes Mac link on the right while installation instructions do not mention Mac needs desktop application dragged from dmg to a folder before opening that is buggy. Dreaming of Faithlife modification to detect temporary mount with web page link and graceful exit (instead of surprising crash for new installation).
