Hi  Can you recommend the best commentaries on the book of Revelation suitable for the layman from these different perspectives? Amillennial, Postmillennial, Historical Premillennial, Dispensational Premillennial. Thank you P A

Dispensational Premillennial: John MacArthur's Because the Time is Near.  It was in vyrso/FL ebooks but now it is sitting in prepub limbo on Logos.  It is essentially a condensed version of his 2 volume commentary on Revelation.  MacArthur is very easy to read for everyone so if you want short then go with the above recommendation.  Otherwise his 2-Volume Revelation commentary (which is in Logos) is excellent.

Revelation Verse by Verse by Grant Osborne is premillennial... I believe historical premillennial but I'm not 100% sure on that one (he combines many different views / eclectic)

I  would recommend you checking out Revelation: Four Views by Steve Gregg.

https://www.logos.com/product/2271/revelation-four-views

I have it and it is helpful as it goes passage by passage and explains each of the different views and how they interpret it.

PA I'd second this recommendation if you wanted to compare the differing views. Only shame is that Logos only have the 1st edition and not the updated one.

A good very accessible one, from an amillennial perspective, is N.T. (Tom) Wright's Revelation for Everyone. Wright is a fine scholar, very good at communicating to laypeople. I find his "For Everyone" series excellent.

And...it is "Friday's Daily Deal" at 49% off today.  A great time to pick it up.

Agreed.

Also from Amillenial perspective:

Michael Wilcock's (Bible Speaks Today Series) "The Message of Revelation"

William Hendrickson (a classic. accesible) More than Conquerors

Robert Lowery's "Revelation's Rhapsody.  Not a commentary, but helpful perspective on how to approach Revelation, from an Amillenial standpoint.  Helpful charts.

The Meaning of the Millenium, Four Views.  It's maddening because after each one, you think: "That's it!  I believe that view!" then you read the rebuttals....

I like Apples.  Especially Honeycrisp.

Not available in Logos, but I found Stanley Grenz's The Millennial Maze: Sorting Out Evangelical Options very readable and helpful. Unfortunately, it's not available in Kindle or other ebook format either. Just good old paperback.

Not a commentary but a very helpful book would be.
