As Zondervan is now partnering with logos I decided to browse the Zondervan website to see if there were any interesting books which could now be converted to logos. As a missionary to Africa in training, I came across this and thought it would make an excellent read and addition to my libronix collection.

African Christian Ethics

This is an introduction to African Christian Ethics for Christian colleges and Bible schools. The book is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theory of ethics, while the second discusses practical issues. The issues are grouped into the following six sections: Socio-Political Issues, Financial Issues, Marriage Issues, Sexual Issues, Medical Issues, and Religious Issues. Each section begins with a brief general introduction, followed by the chapters dealing with specific issues in that area. Each chapter begins with an introduction, discusses traditional African thinking on the issue, presents an analysis of relevant biblical material, and concludes with some recommendations. There are questions at the end of each chapter for discussion or personal reflection, often asking students to reflect on how the discussion in the chapter applies to their ministry situation.

P.S. I thought it was slightly amusing that it is available worldwide EXCEPT AFRICA!! This is the same as the Africa Bible Commentary now on prepub (In its hardback version)

It's possible that another publisher has the rights for Africa.

I doubt it's a restriction since the Africa Bible Commentary is available:

“The Africa Bible Commentary is a unique publishing event—the first one-volume Bible commentary produced in Africa by African theologians to meet the needs of African pastors, students, and lay leaders. Interpreting and applying the Bible in the light of African culture and realities, it furnishes powerful and relevant insights into the biblical text that transcend Africa in their significance.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Yes, just checked out online and found: Publishers in Africa Word Alive Publishers, Nairobi, Kenya Oasis Distributors, West Africa, but not exclusively. English-Speaking World (Outside of Africa) Zondervan Publishers I am really looking forward to delving into the Africa Bible Commentary which I have on Prepub. But the African Christian Ethics looks excellent as well, both for missionaries who are working across in Africa and also missionaries living in home nations who are witnessing to Africans who have moved into their own neighbourhoods.
