What are you considering Michael?

Still looking...

JT (alabama24):

I purchased the following:

  • Standard Platinum
  • Anglican Silver
  • Baptist Gold

I called in the order so that I could maximize the "first time" discount.

In light of that

I was excited to see that the Smyth and Helwys Commentary Collection is available in some of the Baptist packages.  It never made it out of pre-pub, so I figured it would never make it out.

So, JT (or anyone else), how does dynamic pricing work in a case like this? I'd like to take advantage of the "first time" discount, but some of the smaller denominational packages are almost entirely subsets of some of the larger standard ones. Will they add them sequentially to see how dynamic pricing affects the total?

It sounds like there are some significant improvements to the software itself, including some potentially very useful new features.  I'm underwhelmed by the resources included in the packages, though.  In the past it has seemed to me that when I upgraded to the same level of base package (e.g., Gold to Gold, Silver to Silver, Platinum to Platinum), the new packages included books that I was excited to get.  This time it appears, to me at least, that all of the real action is with the features, and the new books that are included are a bit underwhelming.

I'm looking specifically at upgrading from L7 Platinum to L8 Platinum.  There are a couple of nice things included, but the "New to you" under "Library Resources" isn't really rocking my world.  But moving up to Diamond to get more resources is a big increase in price.

Knowing myself, I'm probably going to end up going Platinum to Platinum.  But I'd be more excited about it - and willing to spend a few hundred dollars more - if the new resources were more compelling.

I went from Logos 7 Collector's Edition to Logos 8 Ultimate. Very pleased Big Smile

That's what I'm looking at. There are 2 collections included that are each about the same price as the upgrade. This should clear out a lot of my wish list and my pre-pub orders. Very happy! Yes

That's what I thought as well. I did upgrade to Gold (that was as much as I could afford), but was disappointed in the new books...it was nice, however, that a free Mobile Ed course was included. Haven't looked at the software yet, as it is late where I live...so hopefully tomorrow.

Something like that. The price was significantly lowered for me.

Nothing so far of interest. Too many "bells and whistles" that I have no need. Some addins looking interesting; but they only come with higher end packages of which 90% I'll never use.

Methodist Platinum because of the commentaries. It has the ICC New Testament commentaries and the full OT/NT Libraries Commentary set. It has a couple other cool commentary sets as well.

When I saw the Methodist Platinum package I said, "They love me...they really love me..." lol

Orthodox Platinum looks pretty cool to but it was a bit to pricey for my budget.

Ultimate seems to have disappeared... It was suggesting that I upgrade to that for north of $8k but now it's recommending Diamond. There was a problem though as at the bottom the "buy this stuff separately total" was the same with Ultimate as it now is for Diamond so obviously they were/are having issues.

It's still there, just type it in the search box.

Is the free Mobile Ed course a course of the customer's choosing as long as it's within the $300 range listed (at least that's the amount I recollect seeing in the value/price column in the Gold library.)

There are 205 individual courses to choose from, some well over $300.

The "price" on the product page was likely an average estimated value, and does not reflect any price ceiling.

My favorite package is still a multiple purchase ACEL(O) package - Anglican, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran, (and a mythical Oriental Orthodox). I found the L8 package to be one of the more exciting in all my years with Logos/Verbum/Faithlife.

Thank you, Petah.  So it sounds like not all of the available courses are on the table, but close to two-thirds.

As one interested in the lower level packages, Anglican Silver is looking the best right now. In L6 I went for Reformed & Verbum, L7 Methodist, so this looks like the best to round out my library mix.
