The content and program scaling's seem out of whack-  definitely 100% is not 100% looks much higher viewing resources.

Whyndell, thanks for the question. In the new UI, some things are a littler bigger by default: panel tabs a little bit taller, and header text (in Guides, etc) are slightly larger. Resource content should still be the same size as 7, but there is a new default font that has a heavier look to it.

I was wondering I have numerous layouts that fit very well double screen in 7- but now are requiring me to scroll over for resources- any plan to change this- definitely a set back for me. How about changing font size other than using the magnification tool in each resource.

This is done through Content Scaling in Program Settings.

Yes- but because of the new UI with its set defaults- adjustment to suit my eyes is an issue- especially when you have 2 monitors running Verbum and L8- and 20 resources open that is an enormous amount of changing going on.

I agree that this method of changing font size is unworkable. I don't know why CTRL-Scroll (I don't know what it is on Mac) can't be used.

I have multiple monitors with different DPI attached to my laptop (depending on whether I am at home or in the office), and it's frustrating that I have to keep clicking and scrolling through menus to switch the scaling every time I change location.

It's certainly not like this is not a problem that hasn't been solved already.

The size of the text / fonts in a search window are very large, disproportionate to everything around it and other windows / panels. I can use program scaling to shrink that size, but then those other program elements become too small.

FYI...

That's odd. I am not seeing anything different in Search than in the rest of the program.

Check your panel scaling (found in the panel menu or "kebab" in the upper right of that panel)

That did it, thanks. Not sure what it was about the L8 installation that would have caused that to happen.

The only way I could get my layouts to look half way decent was to leave content scaling at 100, and change program scaling to 80- not very desirable considering you have to squint at anything program related.

And the content margin is enormous- it is ridiculously 1/3 of the viewing screen.

Hate to say it this really sucks, and I will never get use to this.

I will definitely be setting up 7 on a separate machine and sacrifice having it internet connected, till this is resolved.

That sounds very strange. Can you post a screenshot of that?

The font size in the "Table of contents" sidebar is larger, or actually it resizes in sync with the text font size.

It used to be one size only - very small - if I recall right. It would be nice to scale the sidebar font separately.

I'm glad your happy Don- but frankly I'm not- the tabs are bigger, the book covers are bigger, everything is bigger- it throws the scaling for use on your monitor off- I use to have 10+ commentaries on 1/2 a layout page with PG, Bibles and misc on the other 1/2- but because of this new scaling I constantly having to arrow over to get a resource. if I change program scale to 80 its much better, but then everything related to the program- PG, EG, etc is so small you can't read it- that's not what "I" paid for- something un-adjustable and unusable.

Whyndell,

Cannot visualize your Layout Smile I have the same issue with reduced real estate on the screen with Logos 8. I played around with scaling and find the following gives me something about the same as in Logos 7:

This is how my screen looks like, running Passage Guide with Program scaling: 80% and content scaling: 120% (I also turn off locator bar):

The default Program Scaling: 100% Content Scaling: 100% looks like this:

Same here.  I tend to keep a LOT of resources open when studying a topic, and I used to be able to click through different resource tabs at the top of a frame without having to scroll left and right.  Now with the size scaling, it makes it much less convenient to navigate.  Especially since I can't just see at a glance what resources are open in each frame.

I'd like to be able to scale my tabs back down.  At least have the option.  I looked in the program settings to no avail.

LimJK- I adjusted to your settings (80/120) looks better, tried 80/140 but things got way out of whack again- but still find some resources are requiring me t use the magnification in the resource to increase the font- not all- but enough to be annoying.
