Logos 8 discount-Connect members

Hi,

Having just had a discussion on the online Logos chat, I just wanted to make sure others on the forum were aware of what was confirmed to me regarding the discounts.

As I'm sure most will be aware, connect members will be moved to Logos 8 on Nov 5th as part of the subscription. It appears, from what I was told just now, that once that free upgrade has been applied I am no longer eligible for the 25% discount on a new Logos 8 base package, as it will not be my first Logos 8 upgrade 'purchase' although that first being a free purchase as part of my connect subscription. 

This means that I need to make a decision, pretty much today as to which, if any, base package I want to upgrade to, or the price will go up considerably on Monday.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew the time limited nature of the 25% as it applies to connect members.

I don't think this is correct. I downloaded the "free" Logos 8 upgrade, and am still seeing a 25% discount.

I did think it was a little unusual, but I asked the person on the online chat to confirm twice, even saying to him, 'so that means I need to decide before Nov 5th or lose the discount, and he said yes, that's right.

I kind of hope he is wrong, as I wanted a little time to choose between platinum and diamond, and work out what I can afford. If the limit on Monday applies, I don't know if I'll be ready to make an informed purchase before then.

I understood that the 25% was on the first purchase of Logos 8, my confusion Dave, was whether Faithlife were counting the free Logos 8 upgrade for connect members, with no base package as the first upgrade in terms if discount, and thus not allowing me the option of getting the 25% discount after Nov 5th when the free upgrade will automatically happen.

I would get a second opinion!

I updated using the Faithlife Connect route and then received the 25% discount later when purchasing some base packages through sales.

I really do hope the person on the online chat is wrong Graham, as I do want to upgrade to either Platinum or Diamond, but it’s going to take me longer than a day or so to calaculate which I can afford going forward, and don’t want to end up paying 25% more.

I’ll maybe trying calling them.

Does anyone know if they are open Sunday this week because of the Logos 8 launch?

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I almost upgraded last night. I chatted for 50 minutes and was ready to buy. Poor rep, I kept him that long and didn’t buy anything because I had three coupon codes and only one was working and he told me to talk to customer service. 

id hate to wait and then find out not only do my codes not work but I missed the discount also.

I am a connect now member and already received the free update.  I have yet to purchase a complete base package as it is necessary for me to wait a bit longer.  I am still eligible for the 30% discount and I do not expect to see that disappear on Nov 5.
