I've stopped using Logos on my laptop because I kept running out of space (especially when indexing) due to all the resources I have. Do I have any alternative solutions to download only a portion of them? I read that the indexes can be made smaller (?), but I'm not sure that even that will help. I think my Logos was taking upwards of 30 gigs of space.. Would buying a dedicated external SSD drive help?
Right now I use app.logos.com to access my resources, but I miss having access to all the Logos 7 features.

Definitely. Or replacing your HDD with a SSD you use only for the OS and Logos, and using the HDD as the external drive.
EDIT: is your desktop version current? Asking because of the upcoming security update.
Running Logos 9 latest (beta) version on Win 10
Greg,
I have travelled down this road several times.
You could purchase a HDD (preferrably an SSD) twice the size. Use a freeware program (eg macrium) to make a clone of your existing HDD on the new SSD. Replace your HDD with the new SSD. You might have to contact Microsoft, tell them what you have done and they will allow Windos to run on your new SSD. Keep your HDD as a backup.

There is a discussion in this thread that may give you hope for a future solution

Logging Tool
You may have done this already, but I would just mention that it was suggested by another forum member some time ago to make sure I ran the Windows Disk Clean Up program (right click on C: in FIle Explorer, select Properties) and also select the "Clean up system file" button on the lower left. In my case there was a lot of space taken up by various things to include a several gigs of Windows Update Cleanup, Temporary Internet Files, Recycle Bin.

Larger SSD in laptop is better than external. On an older MacBook Air that did not have enough internal SSD storage space, used fast USB for some folders (unsupported): Logos wiki has => Install in different folder or drive

Greg you could also try to clean your HDD, if you have a SD card reader slot, or USB 3.0 you can move pictures, videos, and other unneeded data to a flash storage which would free space on the main drive and then you could have Logos desktop running again.

Greg, if you haven't run the "Delete unlicensed resources" command in awhile (or ever), that may help a bit.
You can also delete downloaded media in audio/visual Media resources that you don't need immediate access to (e.g., Mobile Ed courses you've finished and aren't referring back to). For some people, doing this will get multiple GBs back.
