Getting old LLS books into Logos 4 ...

I just ordered the "R.C. Sproul" library. I see that it is in the old LLS format. What is the best way to get this collection/resources into Logos 4? (I know Logos 3 would read the resources. Will Logos 4 do the same?).
Thanks,
Matt

Yes it will. But it's a bit of a pain. Basically you'll have to install L2 from your CD. Then get the resources running with L3 and sync your licences. Then run "update now" in L4. Alternatively, you can just ask Customer Services to do it for you! There's more info here:

I did all that installing, and I had to call customer service because the resource IDs have changed. Will CS activate the latest version without seeing the license already in your records? I guess one can always ask.

Thanks for the replies guys.
When the cd's finally come in the mail, I think I'll try calling Customer Service first (maybe there will be a serial number or maybe I can forward a copy of my email/invoice to them).
Thanks,
Matthew

Can you update us on what happens? I've got it coming in the post too... I saw it cheap somewhere

Hi Matthew:
I just ordered mine this morning (about 10 minutes before posting this morning - coming by USPS - standard) so you might get yours before mine. I also ordered a copy of Bakers Digital Library (level 3) for less than $20.00). I'll post back my results when they finally get here....

I'm not sure if this will work for you but I had 2 old Logos resources and was able to import them using the scan command in the command bar (scan "directory of resources"). I put the two resources in a directory by themselves and then ran the command (without quotes). I then closed L4 and reopened and they were recognized. The license was not an issue I guess since the scan takes this into account. This was a while ago and I believe this was all I had to do.

My CD's arrived. Installed Logos 2 fine and then recognised in L3; updated the LLS resources in L3 to Libronix files and synced licences. All went smoothly, but nothing showing in L4 yet...

You'll have to call support because the old license doesn't unlock the latest L4 versions of the files (they have new resource IDs).
Here's an older thread discussing the same problem: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/10662/99160.aspx#99160

I spoke to Support today - got connected straight away and the files were unlocked. Simple as that! Tonya Ross@Logos:[:D]
