I originally posted this in Logos 7 but am copying it here for a Logos Suggestion.....

Is there really no way of knowing what version I have installed, other than looking for a library source that is in a version to see if I can access it?

I should have Logos 7 Gold installed. I hoped it would show up under Logos/About, but all it shows is the following:

It would really be nice if this would show me that I have Logos 7 Gold installed, and not just show that I have the Base Package Library.

Is there anywhere else I can go to find out what I have installed? I can see that I have Gold in my past orders, but I still don't know if it is fully installed.

Thanks.

Dave

It seems FL did make the decision to show the "highest level" of Software, Features, and Base Package Library. So it seems logical to follow suite and show the "highest level" of "Advanced Package Library" (Logos 7 Gold, Logos 8 Silver, etc.).

I can understand the complications for those who own many packages, but I think the decision to show NONE was perhaps not the best choice as this means, concerning advanced package libraries, no one knows anything rather than something. I would think most users would like to see at least the highest level of package they have installed beyond basic.

It would be very beneficial to the users if Logos/FL would create something/anything where users can see a list of what they have not only purchased but also installed. The highest level would be nice to see under Logos/About, and a complete list would could be shown under the "installed" section of the home page.

Thanks for considering.

Dreaming of two columns being added to Library: Order # and Purchase Date.

Library Order # allows grouping of Library addition(s) into ring segments for About Library display: Pop-up could show Order # with number of resources added (awesome would be link to Order History). Many Package purchases would have many ring segments (humanly not know which purchase added the most resources).

Likewise dreaming of About for Library showing physical size summary of resources: #.## GB (since Library shows number of resources)

Another metaphor possibility for Library is similar to a fuel gauge in a vehicle that ranges from E to F (with E being Basic while F includes Ultimate++)

Another option that I would like to see, is which resources are available and each level... I do demonstrate Logos once in a while for others that might be interested in getting Logos, just not at my current level.

The way I see that happening is each level would come "pre-sorted" into a collection specific to that level. Then when I was demonstrating to someone at the "Basic" level, I could do my searching based on that particular collection, so on and so forth all the way up to my current level.

That way I would be showing them what they can do in Logos at each level.

The problem would be in limiting the "bells & whistles" to each particular level.

Thankful for Logos & Verbum being usable at the same time so have one application with my purchased library while the other application has a library with order total of $ 0.00 (each Faithlife account needs its own email). Basic library has been useful for some forum discussions too.
