I put this video in the preservice loop and it switched off after 3 seconds.

In order to let the video play through I had to find out its run time and set the auto advance to match.

Should this not be automatic?

Hello Mike,

I don't think this is a bug.  The web page slide is just rendering the web page, and not really determining the length of the Youtube video.  Setting the auto-advance time manually is the right way to go about adding it with a Web Page slide.

Well the old adage 'Fail to prepare then prepare to fail' would apply in this case.

However I predict that there will be a quite a few over time who will get caught out by the fact that the program defaults to a very small amount of time for these items and on the day will be struggling to work out just why their video will not play.

Actually the default settings for the preservice loop are always a pain. I wonder if the default would be better at 60 seconds. That might be too long for some slides but would allow most to be read without shooting past.

The pre-service loop will automatically adjust the length of the slides if they contain text. If you don’t use text slides, and don’t like the default, I suggest you use templates to create your services.

As for web videos, it would be pretty difficult for Proclaim to work out the length of the video, and even if it could it wouldn’t work for all sites, and would be prone to breaking if any of the sites updated their layout/code.
