Apparently there is still a problem with syncing with 8.0.8! I have yet to run selecting and highlighting through its paces but I still cannot highlight on my MacBook Air and have it sync to my iPad Air 2. I have. tried a number of different scenarios all to no avail. It does however work well from the MacBook Air to the iPad Air 2.

Hi Bob
Sorry but I'm confused.
You say both:
Bob Deacon: I still cannot highlight on my MacBook Air and have it sync to my iPad Air 2
Bob Deacon:It does however work well from the MacBook Air to the iPad Air 2.
These seem to contradict
From your cross-post in the Logos 8 forum you seem to be saying that syncs work from iPad to Macbook but not the other way around. Is that correct?
Graham, sorry for the confusion. If I highlight on my MacBook Air it WILL NOT sync to my iPad or my iPhone 6s fit that matter (I checked both). However, if I highlight on my iPad Air 2 it will sync to my MacBook Air normally. Hope that clears things up.
Bob, are you using the "sync your data" option?
Diagnostic Logs
Yes, I have tried that as well, all to NO avail! Basically what I am enjoying at this point is ONE WAY syncing! From iPad to MacBook works, from MacBook to iPad DOES NOT!
Bob Deacon: from MacBook to iPad DOES NOT!
Do you mean the highlights don't appear in the Notes Tool, or that they don't appear in the relevant resources, or both?
Can you post logs from your MacBook, after creating a new note? Also, have you checked the Web app to see if it's syncing there?

Highlights made on iPad DO appear on MacBook Air. Highlights and notes made on MacBook Air DO NOT appear on resource on iPad but the notes DO appear in note tool.
The web app DOES show the note made on MacBook which DOES NOT show up on iPad. Secondly, not all of my highlights show up on the web app. The ones recently made as part of my troubleshooting adventure DO, but SOME DO NOT,
Bob, sorry you are having difficulties. Could you verify the following:
Finally, could you try opening the Home screen on the iPad, and in the passage/search box enter "Update anchors" (no quotes). Give that a bit and let me know if the highlights appear.
Todd, I am going to try my best to help with this. I am going to remove some of the highlights from Galatians 2:20 on my iPad. Then I will ensure they are removed from my MacBook Air (via syncing). Then I will apply a highlight to the same verse on my MacBook Air hoping it will sync to my iPad Air 2 (hasn't happened so far). Then I will check the note tool on my iPad to see if the newly applied highlight from the MacBook Air appears.
OK Todd, I did exactly as previously stated. I deleted the highlight from my personal palette (which is essentially identical to the stock one) and it DID sync to the MacBook Air (the highlight went away on the MacBook Air as it should). Then I opted to highlight the same verse in the same way on my MacBook Air and waited to see that highlight appear on my iPad Air 2. NO JOY! Then I looked at the Notes tool, it WAS NOT there! Secondly, there was a note I attached to the same verse on my MacBook Air that ALSO did not sync. The icon is on my MacBook Air but not on my iPad or in the notes tool. I failed to mention the resource in question is the CSB (2017).
Todd, the following information is the support info on the desktop resource (CSB):

Thanks for the info, Bob. Looks like desktop has a newer version of the resource. So I would suggest a couple of things.
1) Run the "Update anchors" command I suggested earlier. Do the missing highlights present in the NotesTool eventually show up?
2) If not, you could try redownloading the CSB, which should get the newer version, then compare.
We're going to do some investigation on this particular sort of scenario.
Thanks Todd. I DID run the update anchors yesterday to no avail so I will try to redownload the resource on my ipad.
I removed the CSB and redownloaded it! Most of the notes appear to be there (one is missing) and there are NO highlights at the present. Not sure if they are downloading or not.
Absolutely no highlights! My gosh! Things are descending into the abyss
I am seriously considering removing L8 from both MacBook Air and iPad Air 2 and reinstalling! Perhaps a fresh start will help.
Please don't reinstall desktop. It won't help.
This is a bug in the app. I see the same thing. Creating highlights on desktop (PC) does not show up in the mobile app. But highlights created in mobile (ESV) do show in desktop though not on mobile app itself--they quickly disappear. I'm very hopeful that straightening out these problems on mobile is very high priority.
