In case you haven't run across the work of the late Ken Bailey, here is a seasonally apt sample that may brighten your Advent/Christmas ruminations. Dr. Bailey, a mission kid who grew up in the Middle East, taught at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut until his presence as an American endangered his friends there. He then taught at the Tantur Ecumenical Institute  south of Jerusalem overlooking Bethlehem.
