I just got Logos this year and am still learning it.  I have seen individuals who shared how they organized their commentaries with the ability to import that organization system into your own Logos Software.  Is there any way to do that with notebooks also?

Thanks, David

Welcome to the forums, David!

Could you clarify what you're wanting to do? I'm not sure I'm following.

Thanks Reuben

I am looking to see if there is a way to import a list of notebooks (ie the books of the bible, theological topics, etc) into the notes app within L8 so I do not have to manually create such a list.  I have seen a similar ability to import a list someone made for organizing commentaries.

Thanks Reuben,

I hope this is not a duplicate, I responded but then could not find it.  I am looking to see if there is an ability to import a ready made list of notebooks that someone else has created for their L8 that can be imported into your L8.  For instance, I have seen a similar ability with the way commentaries are tagged and organized that someone created and can be imported into your on L8.

Thanks.

Thanks Reuben

I have responded twice but cannot find my response.  What I am looking for is a template someone has made for r notes and notebooks for themselves that can be imported into my L8.  I saw that someone did this for organizing their commentaries and it could be imported into Logos by others.

Thanks

Hi David,

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do. Where would you be importing your notes from? Or are you saying that you want an organizational structure for notes that you've already made in Logos?

Could you link to where you found someone organizing commentaries in a way that can be imported by others so that we can get an idea of what you mean?

No, sorry, each notebook would have to be added individually via the Notes tool.

However, you might want to consider how L8 Notes offer faceted filtering (e.g., by books of the Bible, by tags). That approach doesn’t require you to use notebooks, and it’s more flexible since a note could apply to multiple books or tags (rather than be limited to a single notebook).

Thanks Petah, I do that but never considered just leaving as is!
