Hi Dev Team,

Thank you for pushing out A21.  It is good stuff, especially the reverse interlinear.  Can't wait to see the finished product.

I second this. Every new alpha has been a new adventure and the product is coming together nicely.

Read FAQ and Guide for Reporting Bugs.

Developers,

Thank you sincerely.

I know that the whole Alpha thing means that you seem to get so many gripes and bug reports, but really to put it all into perspective, I have not opened Logos for Mac 1.2.2 since before Easter. Things are progressing well and that's really down to the work that you folks are doing in continually, fixing, tweaking and adding features.

Every blessing

Alan

I agree, I really appreciate the updates to the Bible Word Study page and the Interlinears w/ Pane. I like the new interlinear pane because I don't want the info right under the text for every word. It helps to have it at the bottom and then just click on the word I need. Keep up the good work, I look forward to the new alpha every two weeks.

In Christ,

I would like to add my voice to this. I had to stop using the Mac version around A18 because it became too unstable on my systems. As of the release of A21 I have been doing all of my personal devotional study on the Mac again and I have had no issues. A21 really seems like a major milestone to me.

Thanks Mac Dev Team!

My computer started the upgrade, then encountered an error and now I can't open Logos at all. Any suggestions?

You would have been better to start a new thread rather than just change topic. People who might well be able to help you better than me just won't see it.

I think your best approach would be to instal again from this page: http://www.logos.com/logos4mac

That should sort out your problem. If it doesn't then start a new thread with a new header from the Logos 4 Mac page in the forums.

Thus:

Every blessing

Yes!  Go Team!!  I certainly second the motion on thanks for the reverse interlinears.  This rocks!  Thanks, Dev Team, for giving us the choice of the panel or inline views.  That is absolutely awesome!!!  Personally, I love the inline, but there might be times when the panel view would work better for me.  And I realize that others preferences might be right the opposite of mine.  Everybody wins!  That is one nice piece of work!

Thanks again,

Danny

Alan & everyone,

So it sounds like you guys are saying that it might be time for some of us who have been using Boot Camp to come back around and try the Mac version??

If so, I have some questions about where and how to install resources and keeping from having several gigs of the same thing in 2 or 3 different places.  This is a 3 year old MBP with of ram and a 250gb hard drive that is always within 25gb or so of being full.  CS4 and lots of photos being the biggest culprit there.

I have about 65gb devoted to Boot Camp also, mainly just to run Logos4.

Thanks,

Johnny

Hi Johnny,

If you are a user of things like Notes, Clippings, Prayer Lists and heavily customised layouts then stick to the PC version for now.

A - These things are not yet working in the Mac Version and you may miss them.

B - Syncing some of these things across, especially on a regular basis is not problem free yet.

C - In your case it sounds as if you would have to run one version or the other from an external hard drive in order to cope with the space requirements for indexing.

I occasionally try the Mac Alpha and it is coming along nicely. It all depends on your needs... There are still a number of features not available and it does crash from time to time (hence the categorisation "alpha"). When I am chasing a deadline in my coursework, I need for software to be as feature complete as possible and be rock stable. So for now, it's L4 Windows for me for any heavy lifting.

That said, I do look forward to the day that I can pull the plug on VMware Fusion because Logos 4 Mac is so good. :)
