How can the Antithesis between Symbolism and Revelation be over 100% at $5 and $7, but under at $6?
Let say the 100% level is $600
If you have 130 bidders at $5 that comes to a total of $650
Let's pretend the number of bidders at $6 drops down to 99 - so that's a total of only $594 (below the 100% level)
There is a further drop of bidder numbers at $7 but not so much (only down to 90) so that totals $630
It goes strictly by the number of bids at a particular price point, with the lowest winning.
It just means that less bid at $6
And like Jeremy said, right now there are bids at many price levels. If everyone would change their bid to $2, then it would spike and the others would drop.
How strange - I would expect each point to be based on the number that made that bid or higher. But this does seem to be the week for postings that puzzle me.[;)]
To be pedantic,
because the bids at higher levels are automatically included at the lower levels the are actually more bidders at the $6 level than at $7. It's just that that extra $1 per bidder makes up for the small decrease. Every 6 bidders at the $7 level makes up for one less $6 bidder.
ecause the bids at higher levels are automatically included at the lower levels
Thanks - this makes sense

Jumping on the pedantic wagon [:)] :
What ends up throwing the graph off, is when a large number of people start changing their bid amount (like in this case, when some started to mention that it was an awfully high price for a pamphlet the graph started to S-curve).
This title is now going for $2 and could reach $1 by the time bidding closes next Friday.
It's now down to $1. Yippee!!
That's about 4 pennies per page. Cheaper than a library copy machine. [:D]
I like $1 per book!!!
Now, if its at the back of the "In Production" queue ... maybe we'll see it in early 2012? [:)]
OK - maybe sooner.
