Ok, sorry for this basic question, but I really can’t find any references on this.

So in short, is it possible to use it without any subscription at all?

I always thought that it isn’t, until I install it today, and without a subscription I can use it.

Other questions:

  1. save seems to be syncing to cloud, but I can’t find it at documents.logos.com, where would the presentation be synced to? And what is the limit (are there difference between free and subscribed user?)

  2. “Back up presentation…” seems to be the “Save” button to save locally and can be opened later. Right?

Ok, not a good sign—I received an email telling me that I've started a free trial of Proclaim, despite I never consent in doing so, and it didn't shows up in https://store.proclaimonline.com/account/subscriptions. The only thing I did was I sign in Proclaim using Logos account.

It’s a good question!

Proclaim will always work work full featured. Except, once your trial expires or your paid subscription expires you will see a watermark on the output.

Proclaim works by saving to the cloud and it work per group. So on documents you’ll need to click your name and select your proclaim group.

In the Proclaim world ‘save’ would be ‘sync’. Back up presentation is truly for making a backup or for taking a presentation to a place without internet access.

Lastly, Faithlife Digital Signage (which you use proclaim to add slides to) is currently free to use!

Sorry if that caught you off guard, once you sign in to Proclaim we create the necessary groups. (Unless you are already in one) And the trial is a side effect of starting a Proclaim Group.

you can always start another trial when it expires or ask us to add more time if you need it while evaluating.

Thanks. Actually my problem was that the church I'm attending is very small and no other people is using Logos and frankly our equipment is pretty rudimentary (e.g. projector is only on demand—manual set up if needed) so I don't think there's any reason they will subscribe.

So my current plan is to start using it personally first and see what sort of feedback they'll have. I also have my personal doubt too since I haven't used GUI presentation softwares (Powerpoint or Keynote) for years. But Proclaim is unique in the way how they tailor for the "Church experience" e.g. Bible and hymns etc. And I hope for a tighter integration with Logos I used (no idea to which extent there's such an integration.)

I'll give it and try and see. Thanks!

I moved our small church from standard Powerpoint presentations to Proclaim. There are a number of features that have made our service presentations much easier to create an use. The cloud access and ability to make multiple people part of the presentation group is significant. I use the Send to Proclaim feature in the sermon document every week. Give it a few weeks and I think you will be very pleased.
