I like to scroll one complete verse at a time, by using the arrow keys and holding Alt, although I disike having to hold down the Alt key all the time.

I just realised that you can use the windows sticky keys option to lock the Alt key as pressed.

Press shift 5 times and choose yes to activate sticky keys, then double tap Alt to lock it into down postion. When you have finished, tap Alt again to release it.

Hope this helps others. Maybe someone can advise if there is a Mac equivalent?

Edit - You may want to turn off Visual Cues from settings.
