Hi,

In clearing out a house I have come across a boxed set of logos bible study software for Microsoft windows... 8 floppy discs, original invoice says it is Logos 1.6 software, purchased in 1996. Also includes user guide, licensing agreement , everything that it should include... in immaculate condition, including box.

what I would like help with please... is this some that would have value to be sold, if so, where and for how much.  We are looking to raise funds from the house clearance and it shames to throw it away when it is in such good condition.

any thoughts appreciated please.

i have photos but can't seem to post!

thanks

That is Smithsonian material.  :)

I jokingly say that as it reminds me of back in the late 90's a friend and I was in DC on business and went to the Smithsonian one day..  We came to the Tech section and was like behind glass they had all these "older" PC's.  Trash 80. Apple II, Commodore 64 etc..  We were like hey we had all those.  Surprise

We felt old..  LOL

Floppy disks need a drive, and modern computers are fortunate to have a DVD drive. Then you need a legacy operating system (Windows 3.x, Windows 95). Whilst some may have these, the appeal of v1.6 software and books would be very limited. You could try on Ebay and put $10 on it...

I’d pay that and a bit more if it’d get me a copy NIV84. If it has it. If the license is intact. If there’s a way to transfer it to my account. Wonder if it will run on Windows 95?

If and if  - you could redeem the license via https://www.logos.com/redeem

But negotiate offline

I can confirm that Logos 1.6 products cannot be redeemed at https://www.logos.com/redeem or in any other way.  It is not possible to add to your Logos library using these outdated products.

Many of our users do have valid licenses that were previously migrated from 1.6 products, but that option is no longer available.

Only Libronix products can be redeemed at https://www.logos.com/redeem

I also still have my boxed sets as well. Keeping it purely for sentimental reasons. I still remember the awe of having the Hebrew and Greek Bibles on my pc for the first time.
