So, you know I want Robert Alter's books, ALL OF THEM. And have for years.
Besides his completed Hebrew Bible translation and commentary, he has a new book out on Bible translation, which I would also love to see in Logos.
"The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of Conservatives is to prevent mistakes from being corrected."- G.K. Chesterton
Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."
I've just finished his book on Bible Translation. It's certainly not a technical manual but a popular book, and informed by a literary sensibility matched by very few translators. Can we PLEASE get some Alter in Logos? There seems to be plenty of demand.
Alter's books have received the 6th most votes in uservoice. Please go vote and comment, and let Logos know we'd like to put our money where our votes are.
Please see my newest post with plea for votes on all of Alter's books which I've now added individually on UserVoice. Follow the links from there to go vote for all of them.
