I have a question regarding interlinear understanding.
Genesis 2:7 I am looking at the word "SOUL" In the interlinear is says the tranliterated word is "nepes" but my research shows "nephesh" is the word for "SOUL"?
I did a search of everybible including my hebrew bible and nephesh is not found in any of them. Can someone tell me what I am missing please.
the marks above the letters indicate pronunciation. the explosive "p" or the fricative "ph" are both indicated by the "p". the "sin" or "shin" are both versions of the Hebrew character that looks like a "w"--it only matters what point of the letter has the dot above it.

You're currently using the "Scientific" Hebrew transliteration format. In Program Settings, you can change it to "Simplified" which may match what you're seeing in your other sources better.
