Any thoughts on this book? Time wasting is a great weakness, and if this book is not good, it would therefore be quite counter productive...

Thanks for the find. Bought. A $22 resource for $0.99 well worth the risk. I like Joni Eareckson Tada. And the topic is relevant for me. So, I've put this in the queue for books to read.
He opens with a chapter on Ambition:
Sometimes the most loving thing God can do is to give you your dream job and then take it away from you.
Sauls, S., Tada, J. E., & Smith, S. (2017). From weakness to strength: 8 vulnerabilities that can bring out the best in your leadership. Colorado Springs, CO: David C Cook.
His notes for the chapter:
Chapter 1: Ambition: The Catastrophe of Success
1. Donald Miller, Searching for God Knows What (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 2004), 116.
2. C. S. Lewis, The Joyful Christian (New York: Touchstone, 1996), 138.
3. C. S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory (New York: HarperCollins, 2001), 26.
4. Tennessee Williams, “The Catastrophe of Success” (essay, 1947).
5. J. R. R. Tolkien, The Return of the King (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1994), 930.
6. C. S. Lewis, The Last Battle (New York: HarperCollins, 1984), 228.
7. Anne Lamott, All New People (New York: Bantam Books, 1989).
His 8 topics:
He closes with:
For sometimes the best leaders discover in retrospect that it was their crosses, not their crowns, that contributed most to the healing of the world.
My conclusion is that this looks like a worthwhile read. Go for it!
The risk is not wasting $0.99, but the risk is wasting time. ;-)
But the bibliography and the topics seem relevant, and I also like Joni, so I followed your advice :-D Thanks!
