See image below for view of setup and problem. Logs attached below image.
(NOTE: This has been a problem for many Logos versions - just finally took the time to document. This happens on multiple words throughout NT Interlinear Bibles - this is just one example.)
Setup:
- Open ESV Bible to 1 John 3:1
- Set ESV to Link Set "F"
- Turn on the ESV Inline reverse Interlinear (IRI) with Surface, Manuscript and Louw-Nida
- Open Information Tool
- Open Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains. (DBLG)
- Set DBLG to Link Set "F"
- Turn on DBLG multiple resources display with DBAG and Louw-Nida (LN)
Replication and results
- Left click on the word "love" in 1 John 3:1
- The ESV IRI shows the correct LN semantic value of 25.43
- The Information tool correctly shows the LN semantic value of 25.43
- LN under DBLG shows the WRONG LN semantic value of 23.28
- Right-click the word "love" in 1 John 3:1
- Left click on the lemma value in the left context menu
- Hover over Louw-Nida in the right context menu, Look up section (May need resource prioritization to get this to show as an option)
- The WRONG LN semantic value of 23.28 is displayed in the pop-up
- Left click on the word "love" in 1 John 3:1 a second time
- The LN semantic value under DBLG changes to show the CORRECT LN semantic value of 25.43 (the LN value in the right-click menu continues to display the WRONG value of 23.28 when retested)
