Hi guys,
I am trying to search for the places in the Old and New Testament where God/Jesus Looks at someone or something.

Hope someone can help me.

Search suggestion is:

(<Person God> OR <Person Jesus>) WITHIN 5 WORDS (<Sense activity> OR <Sense to move> OR <Sense to think (reason)>)

Bible Sense Lexicon has many suggestions for look so list of sense(s) could be changed.

Hi,

i'd try clause search: subject:jesus AND verb-sense:to look OR subject:god AND verb-sense:to look

Or the sama for AT (of course without the 'subject:jesus' part)

I like the results from this search:

<person Jesus> AND look OR saw

MWW:

I like the results from this search:

<person Jesus> AND look OR saw

It works well. It also shows texts where people saw God or Jesus. I am just looking to refine it to only those people/things God/Jesus looked at. For example it shows when Herod saw Jesus in Luke 23:8 and others.

Thanks for the help so far

the results would be better if you used the semantic role "agent" and the verb-sense for example "agent:Jesus verb-sense:to look "

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."
