Please regard this, smilingly, and oddly curious-ly. And super apologies to Brandon, if on the level.

I saw this in my email tonight:

So, I became curious, but careful. First, an obscure promotion. On my account. And Portfolio. I don't think I've ever purchased a release package (features, yes). And (no offense), but absent the Orthodox Diamond (Aramaic Bible), none have ever looked attractive. Finally, I'm supposed to have a do-not-contact flag set.

So. Is this legit? I think the Logos Mac office is in Chandler. So, I duck-duck'd the address. That was bizarre.

The address is either:

- Not for sale (Zillow)

- A real address you can drive to

- A Payless Market with a menu

- A 10,400 sf home with one bath room!

- Retail space available (but only 6,725 sf)

- And not shown but plumbing services available

No hint of Faithlife or their trusty coders (and great Phoenix weather this week).

So. I didn't reply. Are Logosians a new market for ..... I didn't want to say it.

According to FL site they do have a satellite office in chandler.

According to Google the address matches your email, but agree the email wording would leave me a little unsure about it being legitimate.

Google maps show it to be a U shaped strip mall with multiple businesses. The address may be legit, but the offer looks fake. Contacting Bellingham should provide an answer.

Easier to press delete and assume fake .... forum is a FL property. Duly communicated.  I assume the individual would then want a cc for the really good deal.

I've gotten a couple of emails from FL sales reps, offering an additional discount on a specific base package.

Unlikely a fake, in my experience.

Did you get one from the Mac software dev office? Or 'Internal Sales'? Or strange packaging language? Or your marketing contact set to off? Or .... I know you really, really, really want to support FL, but you may be supporting a fraud as well. True.

If the email is legitimately from a faithlife domain, I would assume it is real... but make sure it is from an actual faithlife domain.

The emails came from sales reps I had dealt with before over the phone (me calling the main FL sales number), so I doubt someone else chose to impersonate someone from FL.

A sales rep once told me about a Mobile Ed bundle that didn't even appear on the store, so I'm not surprised that things seem unconventional. All I can say is that the sales reps get creative, because they want to close a sale. Nothing unexpected about that.

I've never gotten emails from anyone in Arizona, but I'm not surprised if FL happens to have reps outside the Bellingham area.

The flip side is that they tend to contact me out of the blue about some arbitrary package when I don't have any specific need to purchase anything. Also, I've always felt a little uncomfortable getting a special deal on something that isn't typically available to other customers.

I'm not on marketing's do-not-contact list, but I'm sorry that someone got in touch with you.

If you still think it's a fraud, why not email someone like Bob or Phil? Wouldn't it be better to know for certain, one way or the other?

I'm fairly sure that I've dealt with Brandon and he is in the Phoenix (Chandler) office.

Thank you, Daniel. And I guess it bears mentioning, it's your flag to not contact a customer at their request.

And Alabama, thank you for following up. Me trying to track what sits behind an email address is not one of my limited talents!

And Brandon, wish you well on your sales endeavors. What Logos offers is priceless. You're lucky to be in sales.
