By contrast, I worked for a University that provided feedback to Microsoft and was listened to. The institution that would not listen was the State Legislature which would ask for numbers that were mathematically impossible to provide.
Look, I get annoyed when forum posts attempt to run Faithlife ... I prefer to leave that to Bob.

Yeah, I remember switching to Thunderbird in the 90s, because Microsoft refused to offer any option but Times New Roman, for years on end. Then I dumped Internet Explorer for Chrome. Then, after everyone switched to Chrome, they tried to come out with the Edge browser. Right there on my computer, every time I tried to use another browser, they started popping up messages telling me Edge was better and safer, etc. Finally, it got to the point where they did a pop-up survey, right on my computer, wanting to know why I persisted in using other browsers. I told them it was because they ignored what people wanted for so long that people got used to other browsers. Now they show up after everyone is already set in their ways, wondering why nobody wants to use Edge. Well, now they listened, and came out with their own Chrome browser. I'll probably never use it though.

It sure would be disappointing if Logos 9 did not have dark mode!
Mark: It sure would be disappointing if Logos 9 did not have dark mode!
I agree.
I have tried using dark mode on my iPhone and on my iPad with apps that support it and I find myself struggling to like it.
Why do you think this is a necessary and needed feature?

I use Dark Mode all the time on my phone and in other programs that offer it. It's significantly easier on the eyes for extended reading. Especially reading in darker environments.
Lee Gordon:It's easy on the eyes in low-light levels. Trying to use bright programs in the evening, or in bed, hurts your eyes. In my opinion, it also helps you focus on the content, rather than be distracted by the background.
However, please understand that there are also those of us for whom dark mode is a strain on the eyes - day or night. Bright mode does not hurt my eyes at night or in bed or in my great grandfather's rocker. We are not distracted by the background. We do not need additional help to focus on the content. Yes, I would like to see dark mode implemented because of the number of people it benefits. But please remember I personally find it very hard to read even in a single screen shot so that I will not be using it at all.
Thankful for Dark Mode on an iPhone OLED Display being usable nearly all the time. Thankful for training that helped me become peripheral vision aware, which can read Dark Mode easier. My grandmother with wet macular degeneration (colorful center of eyesight diminished use) would have appreciated Dark Mode (a device that enabled her to read books & newspapers inverted black & white along with magnification for display on TV).

Having Dark Mode doesn't force you to use Dark Mode. It just gives you the option to use it if you want. You can still use your regular settings.

I'm just asking that the people who love dark mode acknowledge that their view is not the only view just as those of us who dislike it acknowledge that there are those who love it.

I don't understand this. Why is it necessary to acknowledge that dark mode isn't the only view, since getting dark mode wouldn't deprive anyone of using the mode they prefer? I could understand if they were lobbying that we should remove any mode but dark mode.
Lee Gordon:Why is it necessary to acknowledge that dark mode isn't the only view,
Because to speak in absolutes about things that are not universal is to exclude those for whom it is not true.
However, I responded to your response to my initial post because it implicitly misrepresented what I had said.
