Just copy the files with mov extension into your iTunes movie map with your iPad connected. And it will sync the files to your iPad where you can watch them on your iPad whereever you like.... even outside in the sun or shade...

Yes, I really appreciate the trust that Logos has placed in the community in not DRMing these files or locking them into some limited format. They took a risk on pirating and we benefit by having extreme freedom in how we use these videos.

Thank you Logos.

OK so I do not know what I am doing, but how do you put a DVD onto your iPad.  I have not done this.  Have put music, but can not figure out how to move a DVD to my iPad.  Seems to work differently.  Can someone help me????

Thanks

I found 4 in the Greek set, and two in the Hebrew set that will not play on the iPad until you run them through a conversion program so that they are in the proper format. I used Handbrake.

Learning Greek and Hebrew outside. Laundry on the line, BBQ grill, and a glass of ice. Nice touch!

These DVDs  are data DVDs with video files on them; it's not a video DVD that would play in a standard DVD player. So you need to drag the files into iTunes to add them to your itunes library;  and then instruct iTunes to copy the video files over to your iPad or iPod or whatever.

1. put the DVD in your pc's or laptop's player

2. use windows explorer and find the Learn_How_to map \ videos on your DVD's drive

3. click on a .mov extension file and hold to drag it into your

4. iTunes video map with iTunes open and you iPad connected. iTunes will now sync with your iPad

5. open the file using video on your ipad and enjoy...

You will need to run them through a program like Handbrake to get them into the proper video specs for the iPad. Don't wory, it is free and super easy to use.

What is the "proper video specs?" Everything is in the same format for the Mac (.mov). Why won't it copy to iPad? What format should it be put into?

Jackie, don't ask me why but some of the video are formatted at a higher resolution than the iPad will handle. Use Handbrake, choose the options to format it for the iPad and you are good to go.

Terry, I was trying to move them onto my ipod classic--they won't sync over.  Is the "higher resolution" why?  Any way to get them onto ipod classic?

I like Apples.  Especially Honeycrisp.

Dan, you need to convert the video to a format and resolution that your iPod can support.  I have to use Handbrake to convert the videos into iPhone compatible format before they can sync to my iPhone (3GS).  I'm using a Mac so I am not sure what you may use for conversion on the PC.

Thank you, Amy.  I had seen a reference to Handbrake, but I had never heard of it.  I have naively thought that anything that could play on iTunes or QuickTime would be compatible with the iPod classic.  Thanks again, I will look into that more.  Then again, I am wondering how useful the videos will be on the ipod. Some probably more than others.  Screen shots may be worthless on that small a screen.

Dan, what Amy said. Handbrake is the bomb! and it will have settings that will make it compatible with most of the popular devices on the market today.

As you can see from the example below, there is quite a bit of a reduction. I have all of them on my 32 GB ipad, as well as all my other data and still am not close to filling it up.
