Hey Faithlife,

Has there been any talk of giving the March Matchups elimination discounts to the individual volumes in the sets, similar to what you did last year?

Wondering if I should get my credit card ready for that Big Smile

Agree. I would buy some individual volumes, but no sets appeal, as either too expensive or include too many books I don't need.

Bumping this up in hopes that someone from Faithlife will comment on if this is in the plan for this year...fingers crossed. Big Smile

Faithlife responded quicker last year to requests for single volumes, so I'm not holding out much hope this year.....

Maybe next year.  Too late for that already.

This would make me far far far more likely to part with any money this time. I can hardly convince my wife to let me part with 100's at a time at the moment, so individual volumes would make it actually possible to buy.

I think one reason that Faithlife tends not to offer individual volumes in this sale is that by combining the series discount and the sale discount, you get the biggest splash. And that's what they want.

So, the sale on the entire 54-volume NICOT/NT series is $777 or $14.40 each (when you buy the whole set). If they offered the same 60% discount on individual volumes, the NICNT Gospel of John, for example, would be cost $22.40 (regular price $55.99). I can see why the marketing people might prefer the former. (And they also might want to avoid the confusion that some buyers might have when they realize they got charged more each volume in a broken bundle.)

I also get that, if you need the Gospel of John and you don't have $800 for the whole set, $23 sounds a lot better than $56.

But Faithlife listens. And I believe that if we just sound the drum for the next year, that the top of our wish list for next year's March Madness is bundles that can be broken (even if it means less overall savings), I think they'll make that happen. But it's probably something they have to set up early -- as I assume the publishers participate in these discounts, and they have to be negotiated.
