I've noticed that recently (both pre- and post- latest update) the command box in the top banner is not functioning - when I type in letters/words the drop down box remains completely blank. Is anyone else having this problem and any suggestions for correcting it? (Drop down lists in search command box still working OK)

Unfortunately I haven't a clue because it works fine for me. What operating system are you on? Your version of .Net might also hold a clue.

Thanks for response - I'm experiencing the same problem both on my Dell PC (Windows XP) and MacBook (Windows 7/ Parallels 5).

Is this happening when you're trying to type in names or abbreviations for resources in your Library only? Or does it also happen if you try to type a Logos command. A blank list if you're typing, say, ESV to open the English Standard Version, might be explainable if your Indexing hasn't completed yet. (Has it?) If it's Logos commands not showing up in the drop-down list -- I don't have a clue.

Indexing has completed - doesn't work in either case e.g. 'Close all' doesn't work from command box, (though it does from a short cut I have on the top ribbon) neither does 'ESV' (using Rosie's examples).

I'm not sure what could be causing that. If some other MVP doesn't jump in with an answer, I'd call Customer Service.

Is your interface Language set to English in Program Settings? What about your OS language?

Dave

Both set to English. It's only been a problem I've noticed for about 10days - I can't recall making any changes likely to have caused it so was assuming it was the result of say a Windows update - but then if this was the cause it's a bit surprising others haven't had same issue.

Quite!

Let's try some  Diagnostic Logging, start L4, try a few commands, close L4 & upload logs as per  Uploading Logs.

Following Dave's advice I've tried the diagnostic logging (holding down CTRL key) and each time after the sign in panel has come up I get the message 'Logos Bible Software encountered a problem and needs to close'. (If I open without holding down CTRL key Logos opens fine but this will not give me the d.l.).

Any suggestions?

I've tried using Java Script and have experienced same problem (i.e. needs to close). Attach zip file (note: this relates to failure to carry out d.l. rather than initial command box problem).

The log points to a problem in WPF which writes text/images onto your screen. This usually means updating your graphics card driver, but you imply this problem only happened when you switched logging on. Can you load L4 normally if logging is switched off?

Either way, I think this a problem best resolved with Customer Services as they can log onto your computer to do further diagnostics.
