What full (desktop) Logos features would you need to see added to the mobile app?

With all the (Apple) announcements, there are a growing number Logos customers who'd want to see full Logos running on an iPad (as well as supporting all the iPad functionality).

Assuming a port of the full version wasn't possible (for whatever reasons), what are some of the most critical features and tools that you'd need to be available on a mobile device, before a tablet could replace your desktop PC?

My top three Logos 9 Wishlist items: Carta, Dark mode, and Hebrew audio bible, please.

Well, just to start, all the functions that you need the desktop for, in order to use already existing features on the mobiles. Good example: collections for text comparison.

I already use my ipad as the sole connected device to FL. Any feature that needs the desktop to set it up, is an unused feature.

Personally, these type functions would make more sense on app.logos.com (as a central support platform).

I imagine the iPad would need to be able to meet or exceed the recommended Logos specs for true desktop replacement. The one I wonder about is the graphics card recommendation (discrete card, 1gb+). I don’t know if the top of the line Pro has it. But my Air (10.5”) doesn’t

So if you had a way to set up and edit things like collections on the web app, that would make the existing mobile app more useful?

Are there any other desktop capabilities that you'd need access to? Which features would have to be on mobile, rather than the web app?

I was hoping we could focus on software features, without getting bogged down with hardware specs or requirements.

Is there a subset of features that are essential, or would you need all the features and tools?

Would you replace your Air with an iPad, if those features ran on it?

Just curious if customers could come up with a consensus of what the mobile app would have to support, to become a desktop replacement for most people.

Lack of Bible Visual Filters in iPadOS mobile app is my primary reason for using Logos & Verbum on macOS (so currently do not have a recent iPad model plus has been many months since my last use of an early iPad model).

Comparing 12.9" iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard to a 2020 MacBook Air shows similar price (so dreaming of an Apple Silicon MacBook Air with touch screen that can run Mac applications and iPadOS apps).

FYI: occasionally use iPhone 11 as an electronic reader for some Logos resources.

I would like when you copy from a resource to paste in a note, it references the resource as clickable citation that opens the resource at the location., as it does in the desktop app.

Also for similar all those desktop created clickable citations to work in the mobile app.

Well, I rarely use the desktop features, except for CitedBy. Logos isn't my main platform ... it's layout is for quick research. And the mobiles are anything but. With a desktop on an ipad, CitedBy, of course.

But I'd assume this thread is much better aimed at pastors, sermon prep, and presentation. This is where FL product integration makes sense.

  • Copy and paste with citations.
  • Being able to create and edit tags on resources.
  • Keyboard shortcuts (https://community.logos.com/forums/t/184670.aspx)
  • Parallel resources (or some way to open another commentary to the same passage quickly).

These are the big ones for me. If I had these, I think I could work from an iPad most of the time.

I am with you, Levi. Sermon note editing and PDF exporting is on my list as well.
