The first list are books that Faithlife already carries. The following list are books from publishers Faithlife already does lots of business with that should be easy to add as Faithlife Ebooks (with a few exceptions from other publishers: Mark Noll whom Faithlife already has several books by, and Martin Luther King Jr. simply because of his importance, and a couple of other really notable books) and would complement the existing collection.

Well, now, that's a long reading list, Rosie. Thank you for the suggestions and all the work it took to produce it.

I know Reading Lists don't seem to gather much interest these days, but perhaps creating one would make sure this list doesn't get totally buried over time.

Yes, I knew about that thread and had already posted on it when I posted this post (which is a superset of what I posted over there).

Mark Smith:

Good suggestion. I'll try to find the time, but I doubt I will be able to. Just in case I do, what would be a proper Topic name for this list? I'd want people to be able to find it if they searched for "Race", "Racism", or "Racial Justice". Can I name it "Race, Racism, Racial Justice"? It's been a long time since I've thought about Reading lists. I've noticed that the most recent ones created have a line like this:

{{?set lcv_id::%holinessOfGod}}

Should I ignore lcv_id? It appears that Logos has some topics and themes connected to this, but no reading lists yet. I'm rusty and cannot remember if LCV includes both topics and preaching themes.

Popping Rosie's thread back up. And the other one:

I've never quite figured out this subject as regards 'church'. I know it happens, and don't know the solution (as regards 'church').

The volume below, came out about a month ago:

I doubt it'd do too well on FL sites ... it gets pretty specific, beginning with a large protestant denomination, and then other mainline denominations. It's hard reading (for me) because it's almost a duplicate of my church-life in the South. Complete with a Bible college with only black students from Africa (and to return ... preachers) . Zero African Americans, until needed for the basketball team.

He does identify 4 theological units that explain the pattern. Being analytical, I go back to 'the writings' to see what happened. Sigh.

Recommended, if you have a thick-skin.

"God will save his fallen angels and their broken wings He'll mend."
