To be clear, I'm not talking about comparing two different (or even the same) resources in two different windows side by side. This is specifically when a resource itself is comparing two things side by side.

Example: Ante-Nicene Fathers 1: The Apostolic Fathers with Justin Martyr and Irenaeus, pg. 48ff

Two versions of the letter are presented side by side, however as one side is a different width than the other so the differences are harder to pick up.

This could be resolved by this particular resource being adjusted so that equal width is given to both. However this would require adjusting each resource, and perhaps different adjustments in an individual resource.

Another option is to allow the user to adjust the width of either side independently. It may need to have 'proportional' and 'absolute' settings. In other words adjust depending on the side of the resource window or not. I acknowledge that this introduces a 'window within a window' which could introduce other issues.

A suggestion... Thanks!
