Thanks for that suggestion.  Will check it out.

BTW, I am working on an outline archive for the Book of Acts.
Eventually it will have 60 outlines or more.  The following iis
what I have done so far, if you want to Compile it into a Personal
Book.  So far it compiles without any errors.  As I add chapter(s),
I will upload updates to this area of the Forums.

Hope you like it.  Here are the files:

Calvin,

You said you're a Stone-Campbell guy like me.  How is the best way to locate
the resources you have put on here over the years?

Also, I have all of the Gospel Advocate NT Commentaries.  They are available
online at http://restorationslibrary.org

You will also find that all of these commentaries are available online in the Bible
Module for the e-Sword Program.  It is named "Old and New Testament Restoration Commentary."
It is named this because it now includes Complete and Extensive Commentary on 2nd Kings
thru the Book of Revelation.  I have worked on it since September 2019 and have posted it 
on the website at http://biblesupport.com    Let me know if you want the .RTF source code, which
was initially created in WORD.  Will be glad to share it with you.  Shouldn't be hard to convert to
.docx format for use with Logos.  Right now the module(s) comprise about 100 MB in size.  There
are Four(4) files:  3 for the Old Testament, and 1 for the New Testament.  There are thousands of
Bible Study Questions, plus the entire Gospel Advocate Commentaries are located withing the
New Testament Module.

There are a couple of ways: 

1. Search for my name in the search bar.  Everything I have put up, questions and all will come up. Most of my RM materials are 2017 or before.  I teach world religions at a local university and in recent years I have put up quite a few eastern religion resources. 

2. Search by author "Alexander Campbell"  "Barton W. Stone" "Moses Lard" "David Lipscomb", "R.H. Boll", "Leo Boles", etc..  That will bring up quite a few. There are too many other RM authors that I've put on here to either enumerate  or for me to remember, but they're there. You could also try "Millennial Harbinger" but I'm not sure that that will bring many hits.  I have converted hundreds of RM resources, but most of the more obscure or very brief ones I have not put up here because while we are definitely present here in the forums, RM pastors and scholars are a distinct minority. 

May I have your email address?  I would like to correspond with you about some of the source documents you mentioned, but until either of us put them up as .docx files, I presume they are of no/little interest to the rest of the list. 

Mine is cal {dot} habig [at] gmail [dot] com.  If you just drop me a direct message there with your email, I can ask my spe4cific questions. 

I have served with the independent Christian Churches for 35+ years.  In recent days with the disintegration/demise of most of the institutions that held these churches together (North American Christian Convention, Christian Standard, the continuing closure of preacher training schools, [Cincinnati Christian College and Seminary among the most prominent] etc.) I have been reading more and more churches of Christ materials,,, although mostly older stuff.

In rereading your posts I saw something I missed last time.  We may not put up anything that is still under copyright without the author's express permission.  i have quite a few of Mark Copelands outlines as well for my personal use, but  since they are copyrighted we may not put them up here without Bro. Copelands express consent.  When I have tried to get consent from contemporary writers, sometimes they give it and sometimes they don't.  I've never contacted Bro. Copeland about putting his stuff here

I believe it is more complex than that.

While copyright law is very complex (and I am not an attorney and am not giving legal advice) my thumbnail sketch of copyright law is that..

• All works published before 1924 are in the public domain.
• All works published since 1978 are copyrighted for the lifetime of the author plus 70 years. For works (like the lectureships) that are compilations, the copyright lasts for seventy years after the death of the longest surviving contributor
• For works published between 1924-1978 they may or may not be copyrighted depending on whether the copyright was renewed when it expired. That information has to be searched out from the US Copyright Office, however, there are databases online where one can go and search for that information.

If someone (esp. someone from Logos) knows additional or contramanding information, I would welcome a response.

Since you have mentioned the Restoration Library, a few years ago I had a conversation with the guy behind the Restoration Library because they have lots of works on there since 1923.  He confirmed what I have said above and said re: the works they have online either he has explicit permission from the author or publisher or he has researched it and found that the copyright was not renewed,  As an example, I am attaching a screenshot of Don Earl Boatman's work on "Helps from Hebrews".  On the copyright status he has ""Under Copyright, Used With Permission". That permission is extended to the person who puts that website together,,.NOT for me to go and download that resource and make a Logos docx out of it and share it. I can download it and make a Logos doc for my own use, but I can't share it.  (I do that all the time for my own use).

Thanks for your information and responses.

I have already contacted Mark Copeland concerning this matter, via email with my request to
use his outlines to create Personal Book(s) for LOGOS 8.  My request included the stipulation
that the Outline for each Chapter (say in ACTS) would have a Copyright Notice, plus a Link that
would take any user direclty to his website at  http://executableoutlines.com

Until I hear from brother Copeland I do not intend to upload future Books (Old or New Testament)
until I hear back from him.  In anticipation of his approval, I will continue my work on the Book of
Acts, but will hold off on any updates to LOGOS until I hear from him.  Besides, I need to go back
and redo the first 12 Chapters of ACTS because I need to "beef up" the structure of the Outlines 
that apprears in the "Sidebar" in the LOGOS program.  That way, it will be more like some of the 
other Commericially available Books in apppearance.

I have already receive approval to use use outlines in my local congregation, for handouts and
for use on Overhead Projectors, etc.  So, keeping my fingers crossed, and a prayer in my heart
concerning this matter.  If brother Copeland grants his approval of my request, I will post such on
this forum so no one should question the legality.  Until then, I hope to hear back from himi this 
weekend on this matter.

Cal,

I think that in inserting a (c)Copyright Notice in each Chapter would
normally require two(2) lines of text, but if I insert a link(hyperlink) embedded
in the Copyright Notice, it would only require one small line of text...
