I'm sure this must be easy to do with Logos, but can someone tell me (us) how to get the cross reference to actually show the text of the verse and not just the reference (where you have to hover to know what it says) as we have in Wordsearch Bible? See WS vs Logos screenshot below. Thanks :)

I am not seeing your screenshot. When I run the cross references guide, I see the verses listed out for the top few, then if I wanted to see the rest, I would click "Open n passages in [translation]". Are you not seeing this?

KJV 1900 Bible has many footnotes with Cross References whose verse text can be displayed using Cited By (can drag tab from default location on left side to increase size of Cited By tab). Screen shot shows KJV Bible open twice, with one of the right having "Send Hyperlinks here" so clicking on a cross reference link changes location in that Bible. Also have Passage Guide linked with Cited By so can specify a Bible verse range for Cross References. Scrolling a Bible tends to change location to a single verse.

FYI: my favorite Logos and Verbum feature is visual filter highlighting so can "see" range of Greek verbal expression. Logos Wiki  Extended Tips for Highlighting includes

Good morning. Thanks for the reply. Here's another attempt to add a screenshot to show exactly what I mean. BTW, this simple detail is one of the reasons I've been using both software, up until now. :)

And just to be clear, this is a feature of the program itself, it is not related to any Bible in particular. I can choose any Bible in my collection and the Cross-reference Explorer will change the Bible accordingly. The screenshot is for the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, but as you can see in the left panel, I have three other Xrefs to pick from. They all behave the same.

In Logos when you open the TSK also open Power Lookup in Tools. Power Lookup can be linked to TSK or set to follow whatever pane is active and it will show verses and footnotes. See screenshot below:

Thanks John, but unfortunately it appears that the Lookup only uses NTSK as a reference but does not break it down by keywords, like the NTSK does (and WS Cross-reference Explorer). See screenshot.

Hi Markus,

I understand and that is the best work around I can provide you.

It was very nice of you brother. You could've just ignored, but you didn't. It would appear then that Logos does not have a WS equivalent for this, at least not yet. The funny thing is that even some free web apps do that. Thanks a lot.

Yesterdays webinar went into this in great detail, while it may not be exact, it actually appears better imho (and yes I'm a WS refugee too). I think you can still get the webinars from the link in this post https://community.logos.com/forums/t/193971.aspx

Hello The Flanary's, thanks. Do you mind posting a screenshot of the final result of the WS Cross-reference Explore's Logo's equivalent? Thanks.

The first screen uses the "Important Passages" that is explained in the webinar.
The second one is an exact replica except I used the "Info tool" in place of the Important passages. with it, you can click the exact word, rather than the passage (Probably a better way, but I'm new and I discovered this one myself)

Thanks again brother/sister. Yeah, as you said it, it's not the same thing. A far cry from the simplicity of the WS Cross-reference Explorer. One piece of good news is that Logos now owns the code for all WS features, inclyding the Explorer, plus they also own the ESV, HCSB and NASB Xrefs engines the WS used for the feature, so it's just a matter of them incorporating it to their software, if they so choose. Anyway, overall I'm very happy for the Lord to give me back something that I counted as lost just a few weeks ago. "And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost" (Lk 15:9). Smile
