Apparently between 8.85 and 8.97 centimeters: https://www.israeltoday.co.il/read/ever-wonder-how-long-is-a-biblical-tefach/

I wonder how many Bible-related resources need an update.

How long is a handbreadth (tefach)?

I am always confused by questions that boil down to 'how long is its width'.

But that is probably just me  ;-)

But on the short side. That's going to matter for any measures that are a whole bunch of handbreadths. It also matters for reconstructive calculation of measures derived (by reconstructors) from handbreadths.
