Ok so the Emma’s have showed up if I type a person but not a theological concept like justification. They did not show up either if I type in faith. A bit confused why it shows up sometimes and not others.

Sorry Tim but I'm not following you here.
Please clarify the issue you are seeing
Like so many of LBS features, this one has great potential. ;) I do like what's been done to enhance this feature. However, here's something I noticed. Karl Barth has two different entries in the Factbook dropdown menu. Same person, of course. But each of them returns different results. The first Barth entry has a Works section which includes links to the Church Dogmatics. It also has one item under Letters (in my library): a letter included in a Bonhoeffer volume. The second Barth entry does not have a Works section. It does have a Books from Your Library section. Even though I own the Church Dogmatics, none of these volumes are listed. I also own Barth in Conversation (all 3 volumes). Volumes 1 and 3 are listed in this section, but not 2. What a mess. :(

Lemmas don’t always show up for a search, even if I type in a word like “faith.” Why is this?
Tim Nargi:Lemmas don’t always show up for a search, even if I type in a word like “faith.” Why is this?
Because the Factbook is matching against the word you enter and there isn't a lemma that matches f-a-i-t-h.
If you enter pistis you will get the lemma shown

But when I enter DAVID I get a lemma result...
Tim Nargi:But when I enter DAVID I get a lemma result...
Yes, because there is a match on letters (or maybe the underlying tagging - I'm not sure)
Try Peter where you will see a lemma but it has no relationship to the person Peter, it is just that the letters (at least the consonants) match
The lemma is a suggestion when you type "Faith", but it's crowded out by the other suggestions. If you select the "Show all for Faith" option (or use shift-enter), then you'll find lemma options grouped together.

The autocompleter does suggest matches on the gloss of the lemma.

Thanks Andrew

So it does!
Sorry, Andrew, I missed that. Very nice!!
If I'm reading a Bible or book and click on a word, is there a way to easily look this up in factbook (such as with press and hold) or do I need to copy and paste? If not, this would be a valuable addition. Also, will some level of visual filters ever come to mobil? I'm using Android.

This is not currently possible if you have the "Selection" option selected on the left side. However any of the various reference options on the left side that actually show up will provide a link to Factbook.

I don't know the status of this.
Both of these sound like good candidates for suggestions here: https://feedback.faithlife.com/

I’m really sorry, but I have no idea what this means - can you unpack or share a screenshot? Is it specific to Android instead of iOS?
To clarify, I have no idea what it means to select a “Selection” option on the left side.
In context menu (opened by selecting text and right clicking)
To select = to click on
Selection = top item on the left hand side is usually labelled "Selection" as it is what was selected text when you opened the menu
Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."
But the options on the left are the back button (top) or home button (bottom) - the pop-up and share menu don’t seem to match either. Are we sure this relates to the mobile app?

I'm so sorry, I lost track of the fact that this post was in the Mobile forum. My answer applies to the desktop software.
I don't believe there's an option to automatically look in Factbook for the selected text.

The current work around is to copy the lemma, open factbook, and paste.
Creating a link to factbook from a long press would really be a great improvement and make the feature more accessible to MANY users. Someone mentioned something to the effect, "Factbook will eliminate many google searches." I agree... but only if users can find it!

Love Factbook. It has officially become my go to on Mobile. I have noticed, however, that the Mobile Version pulls up resources that are not in my library. This does not happen with the Desktop Version.
