It looks like there are several Datasets (17) and General Reference resources (18) that are not available yet.

What is the timing for providing these resources?

We have not been given any dates. However, several of them appear in the feedback site as in progress so I would not expect a long wait.

Thank you MJ.

Graham,

As I was reviewing the Feature upgrades: https://www.logos.com/product/195570/logos-9-full-feature-upgrade there are several items with an asterisk.  The asterisk states "* Your purchase includes this resource, which isn’t available yet. The resource will automatically download once it’s available."

Rick, we're actively working on many of these now, and we'll get these out as soon as we can. I'm reluctant to provide more specific dates than I can firmly commit to. But if they're included in your Logos 9 package, you'll get them as soon as they're released.

In relation to these "All the" features - I notice that they are listed as General Reference and then the same title as a Dataset.

What is the difference between the General Reference and the Dataset? As not all datasets have a matching General Reference - is there something unique with the "All the" series in comparison to the other datasets?

The General Reference items are books that show up in your library. In this case, these contain lists of things with hyperlinks that generally go to Factbook.

The Datasets do not show up in your library. They power various features in your application, frequently related to searching.

Thank you Andrew, so it is the same as other datasets. My question arose from seeing so many listed in the General Reference, as most prior Datasets did not have a coinciding Reference listed.

In addition to Andrew's points, the "All the X in the Bible" resources will power Factbook pages. As an example, the "Miracles in the Bible" resource will provide Key Article content for Factbook page for each of the roughly 200 miracles in the Bible, with content coming from the resource (this is also how the Lexham Research Lexicons, Manuscripts, and Faithlife Lists resources work with Factbook).

Nice. Factbook is definitely my favourite. Looking forward to see where it goes over the next two years.

Agreed!  I hardly used the Factbook before and have already used it multiple times.  One of the things I see missing is the ability to save a passage list from the verses section, but I'm sure they will get there.  All in all, very pleased with L9.

Thank you Andrew and Sean (and Frank for asking). I was wondering about this and was confused. This is helpful to know.

This is already ready to go for 9.1 Beta 1.
