So today I see in my Book of Common Prayer that we are honouring James Hannington, Bishop of Eastern Equatorial Africa. "Who was he?", I wonder, being the sort of person who just loves to learn for the sake of learning.

Logos 8: select his name, right click, search Everything and find mostly references back to the Book of Common Prayer. That wasn't useful. Extra steps required to find what I needed. Not always worth my effort.

And then, on 26 October cometh...

LOGOS 9: right click, search Everything, and instantly there's the Factbook page listed with his name and a key entry from The Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church. Total elapsed time? About 3 seconds. He was a bishop who went to Africa for CSM, and was murdered in Uganda at the age of 38, barely three years into his ministry. He is honoured on October 29th.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, Logos! Left Hug Logos 9 Full Feature Upgrade has just paid for itself.

Yes, I haven't upgraded yet (decisions, decisions!), but this is the feature I am most excited about. My work and interests have expanded so that lately I have found myself getting into the Factbook a lot. I'm looking forward to this improved functionality.

I am thrilled, since my main usage of Logos has been as my World's Largest Personal Encyclopaedia!

The same thing has happened to me, Carmen.  I think this is one of the best upgrades of the factbook.

The new Factbook  certainly got my attention early on as I read about new features in version 9. I found a package that matched my interests and upgraded, hoping I would not be disappointed.

Logos 9 has exceeded my expectations in several ways that make it so much more useful to me, and the improved Factbook is the most useful improvement for my purposes.

I have been using Logos since LLS 2.x on Win 95. Just having a library on the computer was exciting back then. The system gained huge usefulness with 'Libby' in L3, and I stayed with it until new books were no longer compatible with L3 and I ran L5 and Libby in parallel because I found L5, L6, and L7 less than comfortable for my needs. I did get a good L8 system going with most of the features available, but it still felt klutzy to me.

This has been an exciting week for me with Logos. The new L9 features have me just as enthusiastic about my Logos system and library as the shift from L2 to L3. Given that most of my Wordsearch books have been now merged into Logos, and the remaining will get included eventually, I am feeling happy with my Logos system. It has been a very good week!
