I want to study all imperatives in the Septuagint Psalms.
First of all I did a morph search with various queries, using ‘Search All Morph Text in Poetic Books in the Septuagint with Logos Morphology for’.
lemma:ἐξαιρέω@V??M Worked
lemma:ἐ*@V??M Worked
lemma:*@V??M Failed
*@V??M Failed.
My problem remains.
How do I get a list of all imperatives used in the Septuagint Psalms?
I would appreciate help.
Noel Fitzpatrick: lemma:ἐξαιρέω@V??M Worked lemma:ἐ*@V??M Worked
It might look like those worked, but they aren't actually getting back correct results. It looks like you are specifying morphology codes from a different morphology. The correct codes for Septuagint with Logos Morphology would be @V?M. So, you would want to search for: lemma:ἐξαιρέω@V?M
In order to find all imperatives, just use: @V?M
Hi Andrew,
many thanks for your brilliant and immediate reply. I am very very grateful.
I regret to admit I spent ages trying to resolve my problem.
I can now use your reply to study other parts of speech, such as the infinitive.
My next concern is to clarify morphology codes for the Logos morphology.
Again sincerest thanks.

It is easiest to type @ and then use the popup to select what you want. It will generate the codes for you. Different morphologies can have similar (but not quite the same) codes.
