We have abundant riches in maps printed in color. However, for handouts to be printed on a laser printer, it is better to have black and white outline maps. This goes beyond a simple map of Israel and cities. It may include things like boundaries of empires, international trade routes, etc. What are the best resources you have found for this type of map?

Pretty much:

And if you got Carta:

While not lines maps, I can get decent grayscale images working with:

The Rose Then and Now Bible Map Atlas maps: https://www.logos.com/product/31905/rose-then-and-now-bible-map-atlas-with-biblical-background-and-culture

ESV Study Bible maps: https://www.logos.com/product/5253/esv-study-bible

Here are a few sources for line maps:

ISBE, Rev: https://www.logos.com/product/3875/international-standard-bible-encyclopedia-isbe-1979-1995

Biblical Places has some line maps of Jerusalem. You should have that resource.

The New Bible Dictionary: https://www.logos.com/product/310/the-new-bible-dictionary-3rd-ed

The HarperCollins Bible Dictionary: https://www.logos.com/product/27782/harpercollins-bible-dictionary

Hope this helps.

We designed the maps in Atlas to support projection and printing for teaching purposes. For the dynamic, zoomable maps, the flat style may work better than the Terrain style.

For the story maps, there are also PDF versions with simplified details specifically designed for printing as handouts.

(We don't have these PDF versions for the Biblical World overview maps like The Early Church, however.)
