I've come across a new annoying tagging behavior in Logos 9. I purchased some new base packages and so have lots of new resources to tag. After adding a new tag to a resource, the cursor then jumps up to the search window at the top. This is very annoying and makes it harder to add more than one tag to a resource. This was not the behavior in Logos 8.
I, too, find this new "feature" annoying.
Sorry - the rest of Logos 9 seems to be pretty good.
Regards, SteveF

+1
I've seen at least another thread where users complained about that. I couldn't find it right now - and also couldn't see whether there's already a feedback.faithlife suggestion trending that puts priority behind changing that behavior.

This should be added to feedback.faithlife.com.

It bugs me too, so I added feedback about it:

Once again I am asking for your vote

Voted (cool it counts automatically.... scnr)
somehow your link is broken for me. I think it should be https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/poor-tagging-process (looks the same, but isn't)

Done!

This has been driving me nuts too. I can't tell you how many times I've groaned out load when the cursor jumps back to the search window and removes my search criteria. I've voted for this change which can't come soon enough for me.
Using adventure and community to challenge young people to continually say "yes" to God
I voted for this one. It's been annoying me as I am tagging a lot of resources right now.
Beta get it fixed. All done tagging!
Excellent!

wE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO waste A SUGGESTION--THIS IS SIMPLY shoddy CODING !!!
It obviously was added by someone who RARELY uses "mytags"
...another example of "fixing" something that was not broken.
[other than this--Logos 9 "rocks"]
Hi Steve,
as far as I've seen so far, unlike Uservoice, the Feedbear system doesn't restrict our votes, so it's not wasted. I understand that we should not need to vote for removing bugs (and some within FL seem to share that sentiment), but on the other hand I see that we have longstanding bugs that never get addressed - maybe since only a small number of customers are affected - and FL need to prioritize the developer time somehow, so feedback counting user interest may help somewhat.
That said: the issue is fixed in the recent beta, so no need to vote on that now. It will be part of L9.1

Good to hear NB!
My problem falls in line with this same issue sort of.
In the library and in the info panel of a resource where we enter mytags. I always enter at least four tags in each resource and I enter them in a specific order. Call me picky.
I have come across an issue that was not in L8. Let's say I have entered my four tags and want to edit the first tag
I right click, select "edit this tag" and make the changes I need and either hit enter or select the new tag in the pops up.
In L8 and all previous versions, the new edited tag would maintain its location in the list of four.
Now however when I hit enter the edited tag drops to the bottom of the list. so, if I want to keep them in my predefined order I have to edit all the other tags in order, so they will fall back in place where I want them.
Can you tell me if this is fixed in the recent beta as well? Thought it may have been part of the same bug.
Thanks
