Ok I finally decided to open WORDSearch this year, 2021. All I get is a busy signal and nothing. I am on a iPad. So is Logos now closing out WORDSearch completely? I really do not like Logos.

I would be very surprised if this were happening - the stated policy seems to be that it will run until operating systems no longer support it.

I just opened the mobile version of WS on my iPad without issue. BTW, this continues as well as WS desktop program by WordSearch/Lifeway, NOT Logos. If or when it quits working, it is WS not maintaining the program, not Logos. I suggest you try and contact them with you issues.
While I understand your frustrations, please review the matter more closely before placing blame. From the WS website:

Yes, you can continue to use your Wordsearch desktop software. It will continue to run on any computer that currently supports it for as long as you wish to run it. There will be no further developments made to the desktop software. The Wordsearch web and mobile app will continue to run, though the content available will become more limited over time.

We don't plan to "shut down" the Wordsearch desktop or mobile apps, but we expect that (like almost all software) one day it will "stop working". (Perhaps it won't be compatible with the new version of iOS, or perhaps it will need to be upgraded to support TLS 1.3 or HTTP/2, or perhaps you won't be able to reinstall it on a new computer.)

I just went to the WORDsearch app on my iPad...forgot that I had "deleted" it. Applied the appropriate sign-in information and and it immediately reloaded the app and restored my full (iPad version) WS library. Within a couple of minutes, I was able to search, read and do everything that I was able to do prior to deleting it weeks ago.

Cecil - John and Bill just verified that the app is still working, so the issue is likely on your side. What version of ipadOS are you running? You might need to delete the app and reinstall it as Bill did.
In the long run, you will want to migrate to Logos. You do not need to make an additional purchase.

I just tried, and the WS app is not working on my two iOS 14 devices. It does however still work on an old iOS 9 iPad.

WS is working well on my PC.... no problems. I use it regularly because some things work faster in WS than Logos. You sure the problem is not on your computer?

I am not on IOS 14, so it could be a software issue that Logos, according Bradley needs to address.
Out of interest I have just installed the Wordsearch app on my ipad (running iOS 14.2) and it opens without any problems.
I don't have a Wordsearch account so skipped the signin procedure and was able to open a copy of the ESV
So it doesn't seem like just a straight issue with iOS 14
It hangs when I download a resource and then try to read it.
Resources that are not downloaded can open, but navigation to another point doesn’t work.
I just re-installed on my 14.2 iPad Pro, and the app is unusable.
iOS 13.6.1 - works(Yea, I haven't upgraded in a while).
Windows 10 - home (2004) - works

Since Faithlife is now doing maintenance on WS.. then I would expect them to answer your question. I don't think they are doing any more development per sae.... and I don't know how far they go in maintaining or how long they would maintain.
I would expect them to keep WS running at least until they get all the books and such migrated...

Everything I have read would indicate that Faithlife undertook, not to do maintenance of the program but to maintain the existing program's availability on the internet, for a while.
The corollary to that is the unspoken, 'if you want to use the existing program don't break your operating system'.
Unmaintained programs are likely to fail more quickly on iOS and MacOS systems because these OS's are improved quite often. Perhaps acquiring an older Android unit might help?

Speaking of unmaintained programs, and since this thread is about the mobile app, I just had a look at reviews on the Apple and Android app stores, and basically WS on mobile/tablet consistently received poor reviews. From my own usage, this was justified. WS was primarily a Windows desktop program, and other platforms lacked development.

They were quite clear in the beginning that they were developing a 'reader' app for the iPad. Perhaps a 'reader +' app might be developed along the way.
Almost as soon as the early versions were released the iPad took a leap forward in processing power and users started to expect the iOS version to mimic the MacOS version. Probably if they were starting from scratch a different Logos app would be developed.
I happen to think that the app is reasonably good for what it is. What it isn't, is a replacement for the desktop version and that, I think, may well be the reason for the poor reviews.

MIke - I think what Darrell is referring to is the Wordsearch app for mobile, not the Faithlife ones.
