I see Judges, Ruth: Revised Edition (NIV Application Commentary) is on prepub, shipping Jan 19. I have this book in my library, also from NIVAC, same author Younger, from 2002. It says nothing about this being a revision, etc. Is this just a re-publish? I wonder why FL didn't mention the fact this book is already out in this series, much less what has changed? I am sure glad I didn't order it not checking my library first...

Yes, it does.
"The saints are the true interpreters of Holy Scripture. The meaning of a given passage of the Bible becomes most intelligible in those human beings who have been totally transfixed by it and have lived it out." - Pope Benedict XVI

Looks like they forgot to update the page count for the PDP. (It's 640.)
SineNomine:Yes, it does.
Of course it does, what I meant was there was no explanation of what the revision was. Were typos fixed, new chapters, expanded explanations of certain topics...? This would be so much more useful than the standard template text that goes on every resource page.

Even the publisher doesn't tell you much.
