I appreciate that this may have been a mistake in being included but I hope that its not standard that novels are included in Factbook results. I hope that Factbook stay to facts.

My example is a novel by Lori Copeland called Faith.

Factbook intentionally includes all books from Faithlife, displaying facts about those books along with a link to open or purchase (where possible) the resource.

Hey, I wonder if the Copeland novel appears in the Theology Guide!  If not, why not?  ;)

Wanted: Women with religious upbringing, high morals, and a strong sense of adventure, willing to marry decent, God-fearing men. Applicants may apply by mail. Must allow at least two months for an answer.

With the matrimonial prospects in her little Michigan town virtually nonexistent, nineteen-year-old Faith—along with her two sisters, Hope and June—answers an ad for mail-order brides. Before she knows it, she’s on her way to Deliverance, Texas, to marry wealthy rancher Nicholas Shepherd.

But from the moment she arrives in Deliverance, sparks fly between Faith, a strong-willed tomboy, and her prospective husband—a man with a strong will of his own! After a string of wedding postponements and a slew of interferences, a union between Faith and Nicholas begins to look less and less likely.

In the meantime, Faith and Nicholas are beginning to care for each other—but is their matching stubbornness destined to forever be a barrier between them?

(I'm guessing:  No.)

I recommend you revisit that policy for cases like this.

Exactly - don't require them to be in Faithlife. I'd love to see:

  • J.B. by Archibald MacLeish
  • The Book of God by Walter Wangerin Jr.
  • The Lark by Jean Anouilh

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

Really enjoyed the Book of God, which I have in paper. When I was a teenager I asked my mom for a Bible that reads like a novel and she bought me a Living Bible but years later I discovered Wangerin's Book of God and that's what I had been looking for.

You'll probably want to see

Excluding resources from Factbook that are excluded from https://www.logos.com and https://verbum.com would be appreciated, which could be shown/searched in a new Fictionbook tool. Between Factbook & Fictionbook should have links to open/purchase any eBook offered by Faithlife.

FWIW: bit disappointed in Copeland's Prologue lacking an Epilogue.

It took a long time for the Logos store to return results for a book regardless of which online store sold it.

That was a very helpful improvement (as it might not have been apparent that certain books were actually available on a different store).

I’m not sure it would be beneficial for users to need to check a second in-app tool for possible additional results.

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Coming from one of the Christian traditions that includes the arts in the interpretation of scripture and the evangelization of the world, I'm not keen on setting too firm a line between literature, visual arts, et. al. and Factbook "of Biblical interest".

There are lots of non-fiction books sold by Faithlife that are excluded from Logos.com and Verbum.com.

There are also a good number of fiction books that are not excluded from Logos.com and Verbum.com.

Agreed plus Thankful for digital library having wide range of opinions (albeit some authors would refer to factual writings of others as fiction, ...).

Faithlife Ebooks has fictional => The Fisherman's Testament that is not available on https://www.logos.com (to me, story was worthwhile reading).

Appears 9.2 Factbook is missing "Noet" eBooks => https://general.ebooks.faithlife.com/search?query=Zondervan%20Academics&sortBy=Relevance&page=1&filters=status-live_Status&ownership=all&geographicAvailability=all

If you use the title of the book as your search term, you will find it.

Sort of. For example the Zondervan "Satanism" book from the former Noet store has its own Factbook entry. But this is empty except for the Open resource button: it doesn't find the book in the bookstore - which is the same for the FLEBs (and the "you don't have a licence" won't find a Noet resource either - and misses a lot anyway these days).
