This was the topic of the month in February on Logos site....and we have been going through it in our weekly bible study at church the last couple of months as part of the prayer course so will be interesting to hear recommendations for my own personal follow up study in this area.

On the Lord's Prayer - Verbum from St. Vladimir's Press

These are the only three existing ante-Nicene treatises on the Lord’s Prayer, and they became the starting point for many other commentaries. Of the three, however, only the discourse of Cyprian is an address to catechumens. Tertullian’s treatise contains additional material on the conduct of worship and on prayer in the assembly, and Origen’s commentary is a vast work on the whole subject of prayer, as much suited to advanced learners in the school of Christ as to those preparing for baptism.

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

You might find Teach Us To Pray by Gonzalez helpful. Long ago I did my Greek exegesis paper on this subject. Buried in the whole idea of the prayer is that it is actually a nutshell teaching of Christian priorities. It's a mini-creed. A new believer who learns this well can experience many blessings in their new life.

Depends on what you mean by “The Lord’s Prayer.” Do you mean the actual Lord’s Prayer in John 17 or “The Model Prayer” in Matthew 6:9-15? Even scholars fail to distinguish between the two 👍😁👌

Seconded.

Also Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus: How the Jewish Words of Jesus Can Change Your Life chapter 6 "The Mystery of the Name" includes "Hallowing the Name" & "Profaning the Name"

Just recently added Smyth & Helwys and noticed that there is a volume devoted to the Lord's Prayer.

In fact, there's actually a whole collection on this topic.

I'd also like to give a shout-out to Fifty-Seven Words That Change The World: A Journey Through The Lord's Prayer by Darrell Johnson, one of my professors from Regent College. It's not in Logos (though I'll put in a suggestion for it), but it is available in that other well-known digital book format.

Also, I just posted requests for several more on the Feedback site, which are available in that other digital format but not yet in Logos. You can vote for these if so inclined, though they won't come along in time for you to make use of them in your current study.

Lord, Teach Us: The Lord's Prayer & the Christian Life (William H. Willimon & Stanley Hauerwas)

Teach Us to Pray: The Lord's Prayer in the Early Church and Today (Justo L. González) -- NEVERMIND; Ted Hans pointed out that this one is already in Logos.

Here's the link:

It's a condensed version of an earlier book: When You Pray: Making the Lord's Prayer Your Own - which was only 200 pages anyway, but not in Faithlife.

Another one not mentioned yet which I read earlier this year and found helpful was J I Packer, Praying the Lord’s Prayer | Logos Bible Software.

Everyone jumping to buy this should check whether they own or prefer https://www.logos.com/product/568/growing-in-christ which has this content plus two more books by Packer combined in one volume.
