Tes:

I would like to know to introduce ourselves by mentioning only in which country and city we are.

G'day Tes,

I live in Brisbane, Australia.  I have been using Logos Bible sofware for many years.  My first package was LL2.0 Scholars Library

I am a layperson who likes to study the scriptures. I have an interest in the Old Testament and particularly the Pentatecuh and I am exploring the Hebrew Language.   I recently started a Certificate in Theology through Moore Theological College. I attend MPC where I am involved as a Sunday School Teacher.

Up until now I haven't really ventured into the forums, I've had some personal issues to deal with, but from now on will be a regular around here as I once was on the old Logos Newsgroups.

Its nice to meet you. Big Smile

Blessings

Andrew

Hey MC ,

I've been unwell lately with flu and asthma so didn't make it today or to last Sunday's service, should be back in action next week.

We do sometimes say down under.  Once of our unoffical anthems of course is I come from the land down under, a song sung by an Australian group, Men at Work in the 80's.

For a little bit of a look at my home town, Brisbane, have a look at this  video.

Hi Just for the record, I'm an Anglican Clergyman looking after four small rural parishes in the north of Norfolk, England. I'm married with three children.

Blessings to all.

Andrew,

I am really glad you are back; you have always made such quality contributions to the newsgroup (over the many years) and forums!  Yes

You were definitely missed.    God Bless.

Well, I'm relatively "new" here, so I didn't know you from before, but welcome back anyway. I can already tell you're going to be a great contributor. I'm a longtime Logos user, too. I was a beta tester pre version 1.0, before Bob left Microsoft to start his own company. But I'd never ventured to participate in the old Newsgroups. I've been involved in the forums since last October, late in the beta of 4.0, and have found this to be a truly amazing online community!

So is it true about Australia -- do the "women glow and men plunder"? Smile

You might have heard of Garrison Keillor's fictional midwestern town of Lake Wobegon, Minnesota, "where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average." Keillor is a fixture on National Public Radio with his "Prairie Home Companion" show.

Hi Tes,

I'd be happy to give you more info if I could, but I'm afraid it might jeopardize workers who are currently there.  Let's just say I spent several years in one of the 3 former French colonies bordering the Mediterranean directly south of Spain, France, and Italy.  Before that I spent almost 3 years in France.

In Him,

Darcy

I'm in San Antonio, Texas. I've been using Logos for a few years now. Currently I'm enrolled and taking classes at Liberty University - BS Religion. I would love to get a M.A.R. or M.Div, depends on what God lines up. Either way my desire is to go into full-time ministry.

Thanks for the video, Andrew.  Enjoyed it immensely.  Didn't realise that Brisbane was so large!  *smile*  Wikipedia has what I think is a good "take" on Brisbane.

Learning something new every day!  *smile*

They sure do David.... although glow not like Lime Green.. sorry Philip.. but there's a particular breed of aussie women that really glow... that's the ones with the love of God shining through their lives.. a bit like the ladies around here.

Thanks everyone for your warm welcome back...
