I have a few collections I've created in the desktop version but I have abandoned my laptop for my android phone which I now use exclusively as my main device. I'm assuming there is not, but is there a way to access collections, create a new collection, edit an existing collection in either the android app or the online app? When my laptop dies (on its way) I will not be getting a new windows machine and will only have android. I don't see collections being changed all that much in the future since I don't purchase many items on logos. But android access to this feature would be helpful.

Short answer: No.

Collections have very limited support on mobile. Off the top of my head, the only area where you can utilize them is for things like filtering your library.

I figured that was the answer. But the reason I'm asking is there is another area where collections can be used (where I use them) in search. Before running a search there is the option to choose resources. When I scroll to the bottom of that list it shows all of my collections (I currently have 3). I wish they would allow me to search by tag (which is how I have my resources organized now). But I think I can use those to make collections anyway. I see the option to use user tags in filtering in the library, but not in the search.

Unfortunately, I would say probably 90% of my tags/collections are set up for the personal books I imported while working on my dissertation. Those cannot be ported to Android so I've gone back to their former iteration (epub, pdf) and have an app that does context searches on those folders. So same end result just not as easy as Logos desktop.

I will say I was surprised to find the ability to search by collection on the android app. Pleasantly surprised. It will really come in handy once I get the collections set up the way I want for my logos resources. Unfortunately, that means firing up my clunky laptop. I never though I would like using just my phone. It is so much better! Even when the price was cut in half on the new laptop I was previously looking at I was never tempted to buy it.

I still think Logos should put together a recommendation + donation for feature program so we can start financially supporting the individual features we want the most.
