WIth the release of the beta version (thank!) the state of notes was not mentioned in the release notes (other then B2 bug fix). It would be great to have a clear understanding of what is supposed to be working, and what is not.

Between the release notes for Alphas 27, 28 and Betas 1 & 2, I believe all or most of the functionality currently available has been covered:

    1) You can add attached and unattached notes to notes documents (strictly speaking, this was possible before you could edit them)

    2) You can *edit* said notes and the user-editable portion of their titles. Edited note content will sync with Windows. I'm not currently aware of any unresolved bugs with text/formatting syncing properly between Mac and Windows.

    3) Using the toolbar, which was mentioned in the Beta 1 & 2 release notes, you can edit some of the styling (bold, italic, smallcaps for fonts that support it, alignment)

    4) If you right-click, you can edit more styling items, such as underlining, strike through, color, etc. However, Apple's native font styling dialog will be disabled in a future beta and font family/size will be editable via the toolbar. Other styling items such as underline and strikethrough will be available (as they are on Windows) via keyboard shortcut only.

    5) You cannot currently add, edit, follow, or view tooltips for links. Also, links are not automatically detected. These functions will be added in a future Beta.

That covers notes documents and clippings, which both have a toolbar. For other areas of the app that have editable notes fields, they should all be editable except the words in the Word By Word section, which need to have the fields added. In those fields, for now, you can use Apple's styling dialog to style it. But as in item #4 above, that dialog will be removed and you'll be limited to keyboard shortcuts for formatting in those fields (as you are in Windows).

I'm having trouble finding the post that references corruption of lists created on Windows? If you have a link to it handy, I'd very much appreciate it.

[:$] Did I type "list"? I meant notes, and you have already addressed that in another thread. [:$] Sorry to have wasted your time.
