I noticed in Beta 3 and the others: Bible Word Study , Example (Lurking will not appear, Disaster will not apper) This happens in Logos 4 too.

But in Libronix 3 and L 1 for Mac it will show up in Bible Word Study . It will give you the Definitions and Versuses in this section in Bible Word Study.

David:

If I am reading your message correctly, you are saying that you were able to search for the words "lurking" and "disaster" via Bible Word Study guide in Libronix (on Mac and Windows) and receive hits. In Logos4 on both platforms you are not receiving hits?

I cannot reproduce the issue. If are experiencing the same issue in both Mac and Windows you might want to call Customer Support in order to figure out why you might not be receiving hits.

Hi

I get the same results here - Windows 4.1 Beta 3.

It is possible that this is related to the bug reported at http://wiki.logos.com/Bug$3a_BWS_does_not_accept_all_bible_words

Graham

EDIT: For clarity, when I talk about getting the same results I meant that "lurking" and "disaster" don't produce any hits for me when doing a BWS in Logos 4.1 Beta 3 on Windows.

Lurking and Disaster is not Appearing in LOGOS 4 or L4 Mac Beta 3 in Bible Word Study. They will appear in Libronix and Libronix Mac.

If the search for those words is not working in Logos4 Mac and Logos4 Windows. I would suggest calling customer support 800-875-6467. it is likely the Mac is not the issue if it is a problem which spans across both platforms.

When typing word, pop-up list appears => clicked witness, but no search results in B3 (nor PC 4.1 Beta 3)

Then noticed light blue arrow in text box on PC 4.1 Beta 3 => clicking button showed search results.  In Mac B3, pressed Tab key (highlighted search phrase), then pressed enter => results appeared:

After discovering search phrase trick, found 89 disasters (same as PC 4.1 Beta 3):

Bible Word Study for "lurking" more challenging than "disaster" since disaster is in pop-up word list:

For "disaster", initially copied hebrew lemma into Bible Word Study - looking for verse(s) with "disaster" translation.  Later realized "disaster" was in pop-up list of auto-complete words.

Hi

It seems that the words which appear in the drop-down list of words varies depending on your list of prioritised Bibles.

If I have ESV, NIV, NRSV as my top 3 then "disaster" does not appear. If I move NRSV to be the first then "disaster" does appear.

I would have expected this to work with ESV at the top as the word disaster does appear 89 times.

This is on Windows version of Logos 4.1 B3.

We were a bit short handed in tech today and our point of contact for the Windows dev team was unable to meet. I'll contact you as soon as I know anything more. They usually meet on Friday's but sometimes they meet earlier in the week.

Perhaps I am reading this wrong, but I think the problem lies in an understanding of the translations and the BWS tool (again, I could be wrong as I am fairly new to this). "Lurk" and "disaster" are not used as english translations of greek words in the ESV NT. I see in the screen shots that you are narrowing to the ESV and NT. I think the BWS tool is based primarily around the original hebrew and greek rather than a specific english translation. "Lurk" and "disaster" do show up as english words in the ESV OT and other translations.

Just my limited understanding.
